  Ryan Miller scored the tying touchdown with 2:53 left in the fourth quarter, and Furman rallied from a 17-point deficit to beat Samford 44-37 in overtime on Saturday. Hamp Sisson rolled right and threw it back across the field to Miller who split the defense with a burst up the left hash marks, going 73 yards for the score. Miller finished with three catches for 96 yards and two TDs for the Paladins (2-1, 2-1 Southern Conference), ranked No. 17 in the FCS Top 25. Furman trailed 37-23 in the middle of the fourth quarter. Sisson rolled right and connected with Ryan DeLuca in the near corner of the end zone for a 31-yard TD pass with 6:12 left. Furman went on offense first in overtime and Devin Wynn gave the Paladins the lead with a 9-yard TD run. The Bulldogs (1-2, 1-2) got to the 2 before Furman’s Matt Sochovka forced a fumble by Jay Stanton and Cally Chizik recovered it to secure the win for the Paladins. - Furman/AP College Football

  MARCH 8 SOCON OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Ryan Miller, Furman, Jr., TE, Jackson, Tenn.,...Furman tight end Ryan Miller played a huge role in Furman's 44-37, overtime win over Samford on Saturday. The junior from Jackson, Tennessee, had three catches for 96 yards and a pair of touchdowns as the Paladins rallied from a 17-point deficit to win. Miller had a 10-yard scoring catch just before halftime to get Furman within a touchdown at 24-17 and added a 73-yard catch and run for a score to knot the game at 37 with 2:59 left in regulation. Furman's comeback was the largest comeback win in Paladin Stadium history. The redshirt sophomore from Atlanta, Georgia, punted five times for an average of 47.2 yards, booming two over 50 yards with a long of 55 and downing one punt inside Samford's 20-yard line. Bleekrode also personally put 14 points on the board, going 3-for-3 on field-goal tries and 5-for-5 on point-after attempts. Furman moved up two spots to No. 15 in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 after the win.   Devin Wynn ran for 106 yards and a touchdown to help Furman beat Western Carolina 35-7 on Saturday in the Southern Conference opener for both teams. Wynn became the 13th player in Furman history to reach 2,000 career yards rushing, finishing the game at 2,063. The Paladins (1-0) finished with 533 yards of total offense and 33 first downs compared to Western Carolina's 109 yards and five first downs.
