University of Arkansas receiver Treylon Burks announced Wednesday he has elected to forego his senior season to declare for the NFL Draft and will not play in the Outback Bowl on Jan. 1. Burks' decision came on the day he was selected by a media panel as a first-team All-SEC choice, backing up the same position he held in voting by SEC coaches released Tuesday. Burks, projected as a first-round NFL Draft pick by many analysts, just completed one of the most productive seasons for an Arkansas receiver with 66 catches for 1,104 yards and 11 touchdowns, plus another 112 rushing yards and a touchdown. The 6-3, 225-pound junior from Warren said he spent many restless nights discussing his options with his family and praying. "Other than representing my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, there has been no greater honor in my life than representing Warren and the entire State of Arkansas these past three years," Burks wrote on social media. "I may be leaving the state, but Arkansas will always be home and I will never stop calling those Hogs." - Northwest Arkansas Times

2021 ALL-SEC FIRST TEAM (COACHES): WR Treylon Burks, Arkansas,...Burks posted one of the best seasons by a receiver in program history, recording 66 catches for 1,104 yards (16.7 ypc) and 11 touchdowns, while also being a threat on the ground with 15 carries for 112 yards (8.0 ypc) and a touchdown. He ranked second in the SEC in receiving touchdowns, third in receiving yards per game (92.0), fourth in receiving yards and sixth in receptions per game (5.5). The Warren, Ark. product set a program record totaling six 100+ yard receiving games in a season and became just the fourth receiver in school history to eclipse the 1,000-yard mark in a year. His 11 receiving touchdowns are tied for second-most in school history. 2021 BURLSWORTH TROPHY WINNER: Arkansas linebacker Grant Morgan has won the prestigious Burlsworth Trophy, presented annually to the most outstanding college football player who began his career as a walk-on. Morgan, one of three finalists for this year's award along with Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett and Troy linebacker Carlton Martial, was honored during a ceremony on Monday evening at Crystal Bridges Museum in Bentonville, Ark.

He is the eighth Arkansas student-athlete in program history to win one of college football's national awards, and the first since Hunter Henry won the John Mackey Award for college football's most outstanding tight end in 2015. Morgan began his career at Arkansas as a walk-on before emerging as a two-time team captain for the Razorbacks as well as one of the top players in all of college football. The Greenwood, Ark., native produced one of the greatest seasons in school history in 2020 when he was named a Walter Camp and American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) All-American after posting a team-best 111 total tackles with 7.5 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks. - Arkansas Football
