2022 PRESEASON RIMINGTON TROPHY WATCHLIST: Ricky Stromberg, Arkansas,...The Tulsa, Okla., native anchored Arkansas' offensive line last season, starting all 13 games at center and blocking for an offense that led all Power 5 schools in rushing with an average of 227.8 yards per game. Stromberg, who totaled 873 snaps on the year, only gave up three sacks and was penalized just eight times all season. Behind Stromberg's blocking, four Razorbacks rushed for at least 500 yards in 2021 – a feat that had not been accomplished at Arkansas since 1975. He was part of an offensive line that blocked for three games of 300+ yards of rushing (Texas, Ole Miss and Penn State) and two games of 600+ yards of total offense (Georgia Southern and Ole Miss). - Arkansas Football

Arkansas center Ricky Stromberg announced on Friday he would be returning for his senior season rather than declaring early for the NFL Draft. The decision adds another key piece to the projected 2022 offensive line for the Razorbacks, who will be losing key super seniors Myron Cunningham and Ty Clary. "I had a couple of meetings with Coach [Sam] Pittman after Missouri," Stromberg said. "We talked about my [NFL Draft] grade and I didn't really like my grade at the time." Stromberg, a 6-4, 310-pounder from Tulsa Union, thinks another year of seasoning with Pittman and offensive line coach Cody Kennedy should help his stock. "With Coach Pittman and Coach Kennedy, I think it's a no-brainer to come back and go up from there," Stromberg said. - Northwest Arkansas Times

Arkansas center Ricky Stromberg announced Friday he will return for his senior season in 2022. Stromberg was considered a prospect for next year's draft had he decided to enter the draft after his junior season. "I love the great state of Arkansas and our great fan base so much," Stromberg wrote. "I love my teammates and coaches that always have my back and I will always have (theirs). "For those reasons, I have decided to return for my senior year and forego the 2022 NFL Draft." Stromberg, a native of Tulsa, Okla., has been a starter since his freshman season in 2019. He has played in 33 games and started 30 in three seasons at Arkansas. - Northwest Arkansas Times

University of Arkansas starting center Ricky Stromberg suffered a knee injury to his medial collateral ligament Sunday, according to a source with knowledge of the incident. Stromberg, a junior from Tulsa with 19 career starts, did not suffer a torn ligament, the source said, describing the injury as more of a sprain. A second source said Stromberg is expected to be back in time for the season opener against Rice on Sept. 4. Ty Clary, the starting center for parts of two years, worked with the first unit in Stromberg's spot Monday, and Beaux Limmer worked at right guard for Clary. - Northwest Arkansas Times
