Miller tallied 39 receptions for 684 yards and three touchdowns in nine games this season. Miller ranked ninth in the CAA in receptions per game (3.90) and fourth in receiving yards per game (68.4) while averaging 17.5 yards per catch. Miller concludes his impressive career ranking 14th on Maine's all-time receiving yards list with 1,848 to go along with 104 receptions and 14 touchdowns. - Maine Football

  Joe Fagnano passed for two touchdowns, Maine picked off four passes and the Black Bears defeated New Hampshire 33-20 in a season finale Saturday. Fagnano passed 30 yards to Andre Miller following one of the interceptions to put the Black Bears (6-5, 4-4 Colonial Athletic Association) up 27-20 midway through the third quarter. Jonny Messina added his third and fourth field goals of the game for the final margin. Fagnano was 21 of 34 for 249 yards passing. Elijah Barnwell rushed for 94 yards on 20 carries. Tommy Herion threw for three touchdowns but was picked off on four consecutive possessions as the Wildcats (3-8, 2-6) lost their eighth straight game. Carlos Washington Jr. had 101 yards rushing and Dylan Laube added 100. Maine's four interceptions — two by Kahzir Brown — were the most for the Black Bears since picking off four against Weber State in 2018. This was the first win for Maine in Durham since 2001 in a rivalry that dates to 1903. - AP College Football

  Joe Fagnano threw a pair of scores, Elija Barnwell ran for two and Maine handed reeling UMass its second-straight loss to a FCS opponent, 35-10 on Saturday. After the Minutemen (1-9) lost to Rhode Island 35-22 last week, head coach Walt Bell and defensive coordinator Tommy Restivo were fired. They didn't fare any better under interim coach Alex Miller. UMass took a 10-0 in the first quarter with 147 yards of total offense. They gained just 150 more the rest of the way. Freddie Brock scored on an 18-yard run in the second quarter to complete an 86-yard drive and the Black Bears took the lead on Fagnano's 8-yard pass to Devin Young.

Fagnano found Shawn Brown for 14 yards in the third quarter and Barnwell scored on 2 and 23-yard runs in the fourth. Maine (5-5) had 366 yards of total offense. Fagnano threw for 209 yards, Barnwell rushed for 84 and Brock 74. It was the 60th meeting between the former conference rivals but only the third since UMass made the jump to FBS. This is the second time Maine beat the FBS Minutemen and fourth FBS win overall. UMass leads the series 42-18-1. - AP College Football

  Derek Robertson threw four touchdown passes, Maine rushed for 264 yards, and the Black Bears rolled past Rhode Island 45-24 on Saturday. Robertson fired 31 yards to Devin Young and 22 yards to Andre Miller top help stake Maine to a 24-3 lead after a half. Kasim Hill threw a pair of third quarter touchdown passes to bring the Rams within 24-16 but Robertson answered with a 28-yard strike to Daniel Rymer and added a 13-yard toss to Shawn Bowman before Freddie Brock added an 18-yard touchdown run to cap the scoring in the fourth quarter. Robertson was 18 of 37 for 264 yards and had a pass picked off to lead Maine (4-4, 3-3 Colonial Athletic Association). Brock added 140 yards on 20 carries. Hill was 11 of 20 for 177 yards and three touchdowns to lead Rhode Island (5-3, 3-3). Paul Woods had four catches for 102 yards and a touchdown. - AP College Football

  Derek Robertson threw for two touchdowns, Freddie Brock scored twice and Maine defeated William & Mary 27-16 on Saturday, ending the Tribe's four-game winning streak. Brock caught a 7-yard touchdown pass from Robertson and rushed for a 22-yard score as the Black Bears shot out to a 17-0 halftime lead before making it 24-0 on Robertson's 35-yard TD pass to Devin Young. Jonny Messina added a pair of field goals for the Black Bears (2-4, 1-3 Colonial Athletic Association). The Black Bears rolled up for 417 yards offense with Robertson throwing for 223. They gave up 388 to the Tribe (4-2, 2-1), who had 258 on the ground, but William & Mary had two passes intercepted and lost a fumble. Darius Wilson threw for a 76-yard touchdown to Zach Burdick but had the two interceptions. Donavyn Lester ran for 112 yards on 13 carries.   SEPT 20 CAA SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Rich Carr, Sr., DB, Maine (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Joseph's Prep),...Carr blocked two extra points, one of which he returned 95 yards, that were the difference in Maine's 31-26 win over Merrimack. The senior's first blocked PAT was returned 75 yards for a defensive extra point by Kolubah Pewee, Jr. and the second, which he returned for two points, came late in the third period.   Freddie Brock had a rushing and receiving touchdown, Elijah Barnwell added a score on the ground, and Maine beat Merrimack 31-26 on Saturday in the first meeting between the two teams. Brock caught a pass out of the backfield and raced for a 51-yard scored to give Maine a 29-20 lead early in the third quarter. Ray Miller intercepted a fourth-quarter pass for Maine's fourth takeaway, and the Black Bears forced a turnover on downs with 3:15 remaining before running out the clock. Derek Robertson was 11-of-23 passing for Maine (1-2). Brock rushed for 47 yards on 10 carries and he caught two passes for 64 yards. Barnwell rushed for 78 yards on 17 carries. Westin Elliott passed for 282 yards and two touchdowns, but was intercepted twice for Merrimack (2-1). Maine is 14-2 all-time against the Northeast Conference and has won 10 straight home games against NEC programs. - AP College Football
