The redshirt freshman rushed for 436 yards with a 5.7 yards per rush average and six touchdowns, passed for 102 yards and one touchdown, and caught 11 balls for 77 yards. Whelan will finish his collegiate career as arguably the greatest punter in Aggie history, averaging 46.34 yards per punt for his career. With 828 yards rushing, Gilliam Jr. is now second on the all-time career rushing list with 3,362 yards, 227 behind all-time leading rusher G.P. Muhammad's 3,589 yards. He's also second in all-purpose yards behind Muhammad and ninth in career receptions.   Miles Hastings passed for 279 yards and a pair of touchdowns, Isaiah Gomez kicked four field goals and UC Davis defeated Northern Arizona 40-24 on Saturday for a third straight win. The Aggies (8-1, 5-1), ranked seventh in the FCS coaches poll, did not face Big Sky Conference's fourth-ranked Montana State this season but take on conference leaders fifth-ranked Eastern Washington and No. 22 Sacramento State to close out the season. Following a safety, Carson Crawford fired a 41-yard touchdown pass to Lan Larison to cap a seven-play drive as UC Davis grabbed a 9-7 lead. Northern Arizona regained the lead 11 plays later when RJ Martinez scored on a 12-yard carry. By the end of the first half, however, UC Davis had taken the lead for good, 20-17, on a Gomez 24-yuard field goal, He added a pair of 31-yarders in the second half. UC Davis pushed its lead to 37-17 by the end of the third quarter, outgaining NAU (4-5, 3-3) 494 yards to 336 in total offense. - AP College Football

  Miles Hastings threw a pair of touchdown passes, Jr. Gilliam had 109 yards rushing and a score and FCS No. 10-ranked UC Davis beat Cal Poly 24-13 on Saturday night. The Aggies' win, coupled with Eastern Washington's 35-34 loss at home against Weber State, puts UC Davis and EWU into a tie for third place in the Big Sky Conference. Hastings's 1-yard touchdown pass to Carson Crawford finished a nine-play, 74-yard drive with 4:04 remaining in the third quarter that capped the scoring. Hastings also had a 9-yard TD pass to C.J. Hutton late in the second that gave UC Davis (7-1, 4-1) a 10-7 lead at the break. He completed 28 of 34 passes for 210 yards. Gilliam carried the ball 24 times that included a 30-yard touchdown run early in the third quarter. Spencer Brasch threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to Evan Burkhart in the second quarter for Cal Poly (1-6, 0-4). Matt Hoffman kicked field goals from 26 and 28 yards to pull the Mustangs to 17-13 with 7:15 remaining in the third quarter. - AP College Football

  Ulonzo Gilliam Jr. rushed for 104 of UC Davis' 211 yards on the ground and Trent Tompkins added two short touchdown runs as the 12th-ranked Aggies breezed to a 32-3 victory over Northern Colorado in Big Sky Conference play on Saturday. After a scoreless first quarter, UC Davis (6-1, 3-1) used Hunter Rodrigues' 1-yard TD toss to Jared Harrell, a 2-point run by Tompkins and a 28-yard field goal by Isaiah Gomez to take an 11-0 lead into halftime. Tompkins scored on a 5-yard run with 2:56 left in the third quarter for an 18-0 advantage and he added a 4-yard scoring run just 1:24 into the final quarter. Northern Colorado (2-5, 1-3) scored on a Ben Raybon 44-yard field goal with 8:04 left to play to avoid the shutout. Lan Larison capped the scoring for the Aggies on an 11-yard TD run with 1:05 remaining. Rodrigues completed 16 of 26 passes for 187 yards with two interceptions for UC Davis. Dylan McCaffrey was 21-of-31 passing for 118 yards with an interception for the Bears, who managed just 254 yards of offense while surrendering 398. - AP College Football
