  01/16/23 - Zach CharbonnetSr/2023, UCLA, 6-0, 222 (DS#3 RB) + More +

Running back Zach Charbonnet has decided to forgo his remaining eligibility at UCLA and publicly declared for the 2023 NFL Draft on Monday, the final day to eligible players could declare. Charbonnet finished his senior season as a consensus All-American and first in the country for all-purpose yards, averaging 168 yards per game. He ran for 1,359 yards and 14 touchdowns on 398 attempts in 10 games this season.

He also caught 37 passes for 321 yards. The 1,680 all-purpose yards ranks eighth among all-time Bruins for a single-season. The Oaks Christian alumnus had one year of eligibility remaining, due to the extra year granted by the NCAA for players on a roster during the 2020 pandemic season. Charbonnet had 2,496 rushing yards and 27 touchdowns in 22 career games for UCLA. He did not play in the Bruins' 37-35 loss to Pitt in the Sun Bowl on Dec. 30. - The Press-Enterprise

Jordan Anderson, who excelled at safety for Bowling Green State University's football team before entering the transfer portal, announced via Twitter on Friday night he will play his final collegiate season at UCLA. The 5-foot-10, 200-pound standout and 2021 second-team All-Mid-American Conference selection will be joining a UCLA squad that is coming off its best season in eight years. The Bruins went 9-4 in 2022, including a season-opening 45-17 win over BGSU, to post its best record since the 2014 team went 10-3.

Anderson totaled 180 tackles (99 solo), including 11 for loss, and recorded five interceptions, one forced fumble and three fumble recoveries in his BGSU career. He appeared in 40 games, including 34 starts, over the past four seasons. He finished eighth in total tackles (47) during the 2022 season when BGSU went 6-7 overall, including a 24-19 loss to New Mexico State in the Quick Lane Bowl on Dec. 26.   01/01/23 - Jack Landherr IVSr/2023, UCLA, 6-1, 243 (DS#11 LS) + More +

In his time in Westwood, Landherr, 21, got his bachelor's degree in three years with a major in political science and a minor in entrepreneurship. His GPA was 3.7. He also did an internship and now is working on a master's degree in transformative leadership, a program based at least partly on John Wooden's Pyramid of Success. Because COVID-19 gave all players an extra year of eligibility, Landherr could have played a fifth season. Earlier this week, he announced on social media that he will forego that. He said he will make himself eligible for the NFL draft. Long snappers are a sought-after commodity in the pros. He received preseason All-American mention and has usually been listed in the top five in the country at his position. - Los Angeles Times
