South Alabama on Saturday added its second SEC offensive line transfer for the 2023 season. Jordan Davis, who spent the last two seasons at South Carolina, announced Saturday he was headed to Mobile. He will have three years of eligibility remaining with the Jaguars. Davis (6-foot-5, 300 pounds) did not see any action with the Gamecocks the last two seasons. He was rated a 3-star prospect out of Creekside High School in Fairburn, Ga., in the 2021 signing class.

Davis is expected to play offensive tackle at South Alabama. He joins center Reed Buys, who committed to the Jaguars in December, as publicly committed incoming Division I transfers for next season. South Alabama returns both starting tackles for 2023, though left tackle Joshua McCulloch will be a senior next fall. PJ Mixon, who started the Jaguars' first three games on the left side before being supplanted by McCulloch, exhausted his eligibility in 2022. - Birmingham News
