  04/05/20 - William Bradley-KingrSr/2021, Baylor, 6-4, 252 (DS#24 DE) + More +

William Bradley-King, a 6-4, 248-pound starting defensive end, announced on Twitter that he intends to transfer from the program. "Arkansas State has given me the opportunity to further my education and graduate with a bachelor's degree while playing the game that I love," Bradley-King said in a statement. "I have met some of the most amazing people here who have helped me to become the man I am today, and each one of you holds a special place in my heart. "I have always dreamed of being in the NFL, and I still plan to do so. I leave blood, sweat, and tears on every field I touch and give it my all on and off the field. After a lot of prayer and conversations with my loved ones, I have decided to enter the graduate transfer portal so that I can move forward with pursuing my lifelong dream." "Thank you Red Wolves for all the love, support, and memories. I hope you will continue to support me as I transition to this next chapter in my life."

Bradley-King -- who would have been a fifth-year senior at ASU next season and will be able to play immediately wherever he transfers -- was a first-team All-Sun Belt Conference selection in 2019. He finished the season ranked second in the conference in sacks with 8 1/2 and fourth in tackles for loss with 13 1/2. He also tallied 49 total tackles and forced three fumbles. As a sophomore in 2018, Bradley-King finished with 33 total tackles, 9 1/2 tackles for loss, 6 sacks and 2 forced fumbles, en route to becoming a second-team All-Sun Belt selection. - Northwest Arkansas Times

  03/21/20 - Tyquan ThorntonSr/2022, Baylor, 6-2, 183 (DS#21 WR) + More +

Though the Bears lost all-Big 12 receiver Denzel Mims and sixth-year senior Chris Platt, there's still a lot of talent on board with Tyquan Thornton, R.J. Sneed, Josh Fleeks and Jared Atkinson returning. Thornton is poised to become Baylor's top go-to threat after making 45 catches for 782 yards and five touchdowns in Baylor's 11-3 season. Additionally, redshirt freshmen Yusuf Terry, Jaylen Ellis and Kolby White and sophomore Jackson Gleeson are promising young receivers that senior quarterback Charlie Brewer and Gerry Bohanon and Jacob Zeno have in their arsenal. "They're talented, they're good, they're fast," Munoz said. "But I think more importantly right now what I've been most impressed about is they're just good kids. They're all doing the right stuff. They're locked in, they're focused. It's been kind of refreshing from that standpoint, really fun to be around." - Waco Tribune Herald

  01/16/20 - Terrel BernardrSr/2022, Baylor, 6-1, 218 (DS#14 OLB) + More +

Baylor hired LSU defensive coordinator Dave Aranda as its new head coach Thursday, three days after the Tigers completed their undefeated national championship. Aranda, a head coach for the first time, takes over a Big 12 program in much better shape than it was when Matt Rhule got there more than three years ago. "I'm excited to get started as a Baylor Bear. From the outside looking in, I was so impressed watching Baylor play," Aranda said in a statement that was included in Baylor's announcement of his hire. "Seeing the unity of the team and the togetherness of their play really illustrated a strong culture," he said. "I'm ready to touch down in Waco and get to work."

Rhule became head coach of the NFL's Carolina Panthers on Jan. 7, six days after the Bears finished an 11-3 season with a loss to Georgia in the Sugar Bowl. Baylor was ranked 13th in the final AP Top 25 poll. The 43-year-old Aranda, who was the highest-paid college assistant at $2.5 million a season, was a Power Five defensive coordinator the past seven seasons. He was at Wisconsin from 2013-15 before spending four years at LSU, capped by a win over Clemson on Monday night for a 15-0 record. - AP College Football
