Central Michigan Football   Joe Labas threw two touchdown passes, Brock Townsend had a 51-yard TD reception and ran for two scores, and Central Michigan beat Massachusetts 38-13 on Saturday to extend the Minutemen's losing streak to 12 games. UMass (0-8, 0-4 Mid-American Conference) hasn't won a game in nearly a calendar year, since a 35-7 win over Wagner on Oct. 26, 2024.

Townsend scored on first-quarter runs of 1 and 5 yards before Angel Flores ran for a 9-yard touchdown that gave Central Michigan (5-3, 3-1) a 21-3 lead going into the second. Townsend, a 6-foot, 220-pound freshman, caught a short pass around the 45 and broke a pair of would-be tackles as he raced to the end zone to make it 31-10 less than two minutes into the second half. An interception by Kalen Carroll gave Central Michigan the ball at its own 42 and Labas threw a 19-yard touchdown pass to Nasir Williams that gave the Chippewas a 28-point lead with 7:50 to go in the third quarter.   Temple Football   Evan Simon threw his 21st touchdown of the season in overtime - and still hasn't thrown an interception all year - as Temple outlasted Tulsa 38–37 on Saturday. Simon was masterful once again, completing 24 of 35 passes for 267 yards and five touchdowns. He connected three times with Kajiya Hollawayne, including the 1-yard strike in overtime that proved decisive, and twice with Jay Ducker. Temple (5–3, 3–1 AAC) balanced Simon's precision with 180 rushing yards, led by Hunter Smith's 92 yards on just 10 carries, including a 72-yard dash that flipped field position early.

After falling behind 3–0, Simon found Hollawayne from 24 yards out to open the scoring. His pair of short touchdown tosses to Ducker helped the Owls trade blows with Tulsa before Hollawayne's second score made it 28–24 in the third. Carl Hardin added a 52-yard field goal in the fourth for a 31–24 lead, but Tulsa tied it with 3:44 left on a Dominic Richardson run. In overtime, Simon again rose to the moment, hitting Hollawayne for his fifth touchdown of the night - and 21st of the season. Tulsa answered with a 9-yard score from Baylor Hayes to Brody Foley, but a failed two-point try sealed Temple's win. Hayes finished with 296 yards and three touchdowns for Tulsa (2–5, 0–4). - Temple/AP College Football

Pittsburgh Football   Mason Heintschel set a freshman school record by passing for 423 yards and Pittsburgh pushed its winning streak to four by racing past North Carolina State 53-34 on Saturday night. The Panthers (6-2, 4-1 ACC) are unbeaten since Heintschel replaced Eli Holstein following a loss to Louisville in late September. Heintschel completed 28 of 48 for three scores, including an 84-yard strike to Blue Hicks in the third quarter that blew it open. Hicks finished with four receptions for 120 yards. Kenny Johnson added seven catches for 112 yards and a 10-yard score late in the second quarter in which he shook off a tackle, spun, and then fended off a Wolfpack defender while diving across the pylon.

The victory kept Pitt in the thick of a wide-open ACC but also came at a potentially high cost. Panther running back Desmond Reid, an all-conference player a year ago, exited late in the third quarter with an apparent left leg injury. Reid missed two games earlier this season with an injury to the same leg. Hollywood Smothers, the ACC's leading rusher, darted for a 65-yard touchdown in the second quarter but finished with just 86 yards on eight carries as the Wolfpack (4-4, 1-3) spent most of the afternoon trying and failing to keep pace with the Panthers. CJ Bailey passed for 225 yards and three scores for N.C. State and wide receiver Teddy Hoffmann lobbed a 59-yard touchdown to tight end Justin Joly - who limped the last 20 yards after tweaking his left leg - on a double-pass, but the Wolfpack lacked the firepower to keep up. Pitt scored on four of its first six possessions of the first half and its first four of the second half with Heintschel looking perfectly comfortable running offensive coordinator Kade Bell's up-tempo attack. Trey Butkowski kicked four field goals for the Panthers. - Pittsburgh/AP College Football

San Diego State Football   Lucky Sutton rushed for 131 yards and a touchdown, Tano Letuli had a pick-6, and San Diego State shut out Fresno State 23-0 on Saturday. While the Aztecs (6-1, 3-0 Mountain West) offense mustered 124 yards through the air, Sutton led a combined 208-yard ground attack and scored the offense's only touchdown of the day on a 1-yard run late in the first quarter. Sutton's rush of 46 yards and Byron Cardwell's 54-yard reception were the only plays of more than 16 yards in the game. The Bulldogs' offense didn't have a single play of at least 15 yards.

Gabriel Plascencia made three field goals, including a 50-yarder for the Aztecs. Fresno State (5-3, 2-2) netted 227 yards of total offense, and Letuli outscored the unit singlehandedly when he intercepted Carson Conklin midway through the fourth quarter and returned it 31 yards for a touchdown. It was Conklin's second interception of the day. Conklin was 20-of-42 passing for 182 yards. Dalesean Staley led the Aztecs defense with seven tackles, a pair of pass breakups and a split tackle for a loss. August Salvati had the other interception. - San Diego State/AP College Football

Chattanooga Football   Camden Orth threw three touchdown passes in a dominant second half and Chattanooga flew past Samford 49-13 on Saturday. The Mocs (4-4, 3-1 Southern Conference) led 14-7 at halftime before Orth's touchdown passes of 4 yards to John McIntyre, 15 yards to A.J. Little and 42 yards to Jamarii Robinson made it a 35-7 early in the fourth quarter. Solomon Locke finished off the rout with touchdown runs of 35 and 31 yards later in the quarter. He finished with 115 yards on just five carries. Orth completed 11 of 20 passes for 172 yards. Little caught four passes for 93 yards. Samford's Charlie Gilliam and Brady Stober combined on 21 of 43 passing for 224 yards. Stober's 1-yard run gave Samford an early 7-0 lead but Chattanooga scored the next 35 points.   Miami (OH) Football   Dequan Finn threw for a touchdown and ran for another in the fourth quarter and Miami (Ohio) rallied for a 26-17 victory Saturday to take sole possession of first place in the Mid-American Conference. Trailing 17-9, Finn threw a 3-yard TD pass to Brian Shane early in the final quarter. Six minutes later he completed a 50-yard pass to Kam Perry down to the Western Michigan 18-yard line, setting up his own touchdown run on the next play for the lead.

Adam Trick's strip-sack ended the Broncos' ensuing possession and Dom Dzioban provided a cushion with a 51-yard field goal. Dzioban made all four of his attempts. Both the RedHawks (5-3, 4-0) and the Broncos (4-4, 3-1) came in on four-game win streaks. Miami has won 11 straight regular-season MAC games.   Washington Football   Denzel Boston threw and caught a touchdown pass, and finished with career highs of 10 catches and 153 receiving yards to lead Washington to a 42-25 victory over No. 23 Illinois on Saturday. Boston, who entered the game 10th in the Big Ten in receiving yards, put the Huskies (6-2, 3-2 Big Ten) up for good at 21-17 with a 12-yard TD pass to Jonah Coleman on a trick play with 40 seconds remaining in the first half. Demond Williams Jr., who tossed four touchdown passes, threw a backward pass to Boston. The junior wideout promptly threw the ball across the field to a wide-open Coleman, allowing Washington to head into halftime with a lead it would not relinquish.

The Huskies led 14-3 after the first quarter thanks to a pair of 13-yard receiving touchdowns by Dezmen Roebuck. The Fighting Illini (5-3, 2-3) struck twice in the second quarter, though, and took a 17-14 lead on a 5-yard touchdown pass by Luke Altmyer to Tanner Arkin. After Arkin's touchdown catch, though, Washington outscored Illinois 28-10. Its sixth victory matched the Huskies' total number of wins from the 2024 campaign, which was coach Jedd Fisch's first at Washington. It was also the Huskies' second win against a Top 25 team under Fisch's reign; Washington beat No. 10 Michigan 27-17 at home last season. The Fighting Illini, meanwhile, lost for the third time in five weeks after a 3-0 start to the year in which they were ranked as high as No. 9 in the nation. - Washington/AP College Football

Missouri Football   Missouri quarterback Beau Pribula dislocated his left ankle and will have an MRI exam Sunday, coach Eli Drinkwitz said Saturday after the 15th-ranked Tigers' 17-10 loss to No. 10 Vanderbilt. Drinkwitz said Pribula didn't have any broken bones but needed his ankle popped back into joint. "Don't have a timetable for his return, but it could be a while," Drinkwitz said. Pribula was hurt early in the third quarter running out of the shotgun on fourth-and-goal at the Vanderbilt 2. Miles Capers and Bryan Longwell stopped Pribula after a 1-yard gain with 11:15 left in the third quarter of a 3-3 game. One defender landed on Pribula's ankle as he was folded backward from defenders coming the other direction.

The quarterback didn't get up, and trainers quickly brought a bag out and placed an air cast over his left ankle. Then he was put on a cart and taken for further treatment. The Tigers turned to freshman Matt Zollers. He came in having completed all six of his pass attempts for 40 yards with one touchdown. He also has a rushing touchdown. Zollers gave Missouri a chance until time expired, throwing a 6-yard TD pass to Jude James tying it up at 10 early in the fourth quarter. Zoller moved the Tigers down the field and connected with Kevin Coleman Jr. for a 36-yard pass as time expired only to have the receiver ruled on review short of the goal line. The freshman finished 14 of 23 for 138 yards passing. - AP College Football
