Beau Pribula completed a Missouri-record 21 straight passes, Ahmad Hardy ran for 130 yards and three touchdowns and the No. 20 Tigers beat UMass 42-6 on Saturday night to improve to 5-0. Hardy sparked the Tigers' opening drive, gaining 41 yards on four carries before limping off the field after a tackle. While Hardy headed to the medical tent, Jamal Roberts finished off the drive with a 9-yard touchdown run. UMass (0-4) capitalized on a mistake by Pribula when linebacker Timmy Hinspeter returned an interception 63 yards to the 21. Six plays later, AJ Hairston threw a 2-yard scoring pass to Max Dowling. Defensive tackle Sterling Webb blocked the extra point to keep it 7-6 lead. After that, it was all Tigers.

Pribula played virtually flawless after the interception, completing the 21 consecutive passes to break the school record of 20 set by Chase Daniel in 2008. Pribula finished 26 of 29 for 241 yards and a touchdown. Kevin Coleman Jr. led the Tigers in receiving with 12 catches for 108 yards. Hardy entered the weekend as the No. 2 rusher in FBS. It was his seventh consecutive 100-yard rushing game. Hairston was 11 of 31 for 75 yards, along with a touchdown and an interception. - Missouri/AP College Football

Chandler Morris scored on a 4-yard run in the second overtime and Virginia beat No. 8 Florida State 46-38 on Friday night for its first home victory over a Top 10 team since also beating the Seminoles in 2005. Morris ran for three scores and had two touchdown passes for the Cavaliers (4-1, 2-0 Atlantic Coast Conference). After the go-ahead TD run, he completed a pass to Trell Harris for the 2-point conversion. Florida State (3-1, 0-1) had a chance to tie, but Duce Robinson bobbled a pass going out the back of the end zone on third down. On fourth-and-12 at the 27, Tommy Castellanos' heave into the end zone was intercepted by Ja'Son Prevard, with Cavaliers fans instantly storming the field.

Florida State rallied to force overtime, with Castellanos throwing an 11-yard touchdown pass to Randy Pittman Jr. on a fourth-down play with 32 seconds left. The teams traded field goals in the first overtime. Robinson caught nine passes for 147 yards and a touchdown, and Castellanos threw for 254 and a score and ran for another 78 yards and a touchdown. J'Mari Taylor ran for 99 yards and a score as Virginia's run game ate up the clock in the second half. Virginia turned a pair of first-quarter takeaways into touchdowns and an early 14-0 lead, but Florida State stormed back to go ahead 21-14 at the half, fueled by two interceptions. The teams were tied at 21 at halftime and 28 after three quarters. - Virginia/AP College Football

  09/13/25 - Harrison WayleerSr/2026, Virginia, 5-09, 212 (DS#52 RB) + More +

Harrison Waylee rushed for 151 yards and three touchdowns, including a school-record 97-yarder, as Virginia rolled up a program-record 700 yards offense and blew out visiting William & Mary 55-16 on Saturday. Of Virginia's 700 yards, 379 came on the ground. UVA totaled 691 yards against Davidson in a 1968 meeting for the old record. UVA quarterback Chandler Morris went 13 of 19 for 149 yards and a 3-yard touchdown pass to backup tight end John Rogers with six minutes to play in the second quarter. That score put the Cavaliers ahead 35-7 and was the last one Morris would throw. Virginia played the second half almost entirely with backups.

William & Mary quarterback Noah Brannock threw for 111 yards and ran for another 35 and a touchdown. The Tribe scored their first points on a 79-yard touchdown pass from Tyler Hughes to Deven Thompson in the second quarter. They nearly had another long score in the third, but Noah Brannock's 39-yard pass into the end zone was dropped by a wide-open Isaiah Lemmond. William & Mary punter Carter Boyd pinned Virginia at its own 3-yard line on the next snap. But on the following play, Waylee, a transfer from Wyoming, picked his way through the right side of the offensive line, then burst up the Tribe's sideline untouched for the record-setting run and TD. - Virginia/AP College Football

  09/06/25 - Beau PribularJr/2027, Virginia, 6-2, 212 (DS#11 QB) + More +

Beau Pribula threw for 334 yards and three touchdowns, Jamal Roberts ran for 143 yards and the clinching score, and Missouri rallied to beat Kansas 42-31 on Saturday in the first edition of the Border War in more than a decade. Kevin Coleman Jr. had 10 catches for 126 yards and a touchdown, and Brett Norfleet's second TD grab gave the Tigers (2-0) the lead with 4:14 to go, before their defense stopped Jalon Daniels and Co. and allowed Missouri to put the game away. The series, which began in 1891 and remains among the most-played in Division I football, had been on hiatus since 2011, when Missouri left the Big 12 for the SEC. That move only added another layer of animosity to a rivalry between states that traces its history to the Civil War, and the bloody conflict between slave states and free states.

Daniels did his best to lead the Jayhawks (2-1) to victory. He threw for 223 yards and two touchdowns, including one to DeShawn Hanika that gave them a 31-24 lead with 8:45 remaining - a lead that the Kansas defense was unable to hold. Missouri dealt the first blow on Ahmad Hardy's 32-yard run. But the Jayhawks countered with a long TD drive, then returned a fumble 28 yards for another score. Moments later, Daniels silenced sold-out Faurot Field with a sneak for a 21-6 lead. The Tigers recovered from that quick blitz in the second quarter, though. They allowed Kansas to run just four plays for minus-18 yards, and Pribula's touchdown pass to Coleman - coupled with a safety and two field goals - resulted in a tied score. Kansas became the first FBS team in a decade to get outgained by 200-plus yards and not trail at the break. - Missouri/AP College Football
