  NOV 7 NEC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Jermaine Corbett, Stonehill, Running Back, Jr., 5-9, 185 lbs., Long Branch, NJ/Long Branch, Week 10 Stats: 16 rushes, 227 rush yards, 14.2 ypc, 3 TD rushes,...Corbett paced Stonehill's 400-yard rushing attack with a season-high 227 yards - the most by an NEC player in a game this season - and three rushing touchdowns in the Skyhawks' 50-10 win against Wagner on Saturday. The junior running back averaged 14.2 yards on 16 carries for his second 200-plus rushing game of his career and third 100-yard effort of the season. Corbett scored on touchdown runs of 32, 59 and a season-high 74 yards, the third of which put Stonehill up, 38-10, in the third quarter. With his monstrous outing, he leads the NEC in rushing yards per game (122.5) and is second in rushing touchdowns (8). This is the Long Branch, NJ native's second NEC Offensive Player of the Week honor this season. - NEC Football

  Jermaine Corbett ran for a career-high 227 yards on 16 carries and scored three touchdowns and Stonehill smothered Wagner 50-10 on Saturday. Corbett now has 735 yards on the ground this season with 115 carries. He ran for more yards Saturday than he did in two contests combined in September (217 Yards). Corbett's 32-yard scoring run with 7:42 left in the first quarter put Stonehill ahead 7-3. Later, his 59-yard scoring jaunt extended the lead to 14-3 just before the first ended. Damien Mazil threw a 1-yard scoring pass to Naiem Simmons to get the Seahawks within 14-10 but they never scored again. Mazil threw for 120 yards for Wagner. Stonehill (4-3, 2-3 Northeast Conference) entered having dropped three straight; the last two by a combined 11 points. The Skyhawks own a 3-0 all-time series lead over Wagner (1-8, 1-3).   OCT 17 NEC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK: Ashur Carraha, Stonehill, Quarterback, So., 6-0, 190 lbs., Cambridge, MA/Cambridge Rindge & Latin, Week 7 Stats: 221 pass yards, 18-28, 64.3 pass completion percentage, 3 TD pass, 0 INT,...Carraha threw for more than 200 yards for the second time in his career for Stonehill, which suffered its first setback in NEC play against preseason favorite Sacred Heart on Saturday. The sophomore signal caller passed for 221 yards and three touchdowns. In addition, he completed 64.3 percent of passes and was not intercepted in that stretch. The Cambridge, MA native accounted for the Skyhawks' first points when he hit Tom Comella on a 46-yard touchdown pass with 6:37 left in the second quarter. He also fired two more strikes late in the game with a 4-yarder to Cameron Alves and a 17-yarder to Nicholas Saccu. This is Carraha's second NEC Rookie of the Week honor this season. - NEC Football

In addition, Carraha tacked on 34 rushing yards and a touchdown on four carries for the Skyhawks, who defeated visiting Duquesne by a 24-20 final in their first-ever conference game. The Cambridge, MA native is the second Stonehill player to garner NEC Rookie of the Week honors, joining sophomore running back Jarel Washington (Sept. 5).
