  Rutgers may be without its top offensive lineman for longer than expected. After suffering a devastating knee injury in practice last fall, senior Reggie Sutton will be a "long shot" to play in 2022, coach Greg Schiano said Wednesday during the Big Ten's media event at Lucas Oil Stadium. "I can't predict the future, but he's going to be a long shot for this year," Schiano said. "Hopefully he can come back for 2023." The injury occurred Sept. 22, three days before the Scarlet Knights played at eventual Big Ten champion Michigan. The Maryland native, who has one year of eligibility remaining, had started 12 straight games at the time and settled in at right guard as Rutgers' top performer in the trenches. Schiano called it a "terrible" knee injury, adding he "tore every three-letter ligament". - Star Ledger
