  Justin McMillan threw three touchdown passes in the second half when Tulane rallied for a 30-13 win while renewing a rivalry against Southern Mississippi in the Armed Forces Bowl on Saturday. The Golden Eagles (7-6) took a 13-0 lead after Jack Abraham threw a touchdown and ran for a score on their first drives, but the quarterback took a hard shot on his last snap before halftime and didn't play again. They also lost top running back De'Michael Harris to a hamstring injury in the first half. Tulane (7-6) tied the game at 13-all on its first possession after halftime, when McMillan threw a 52-yard TD pass to Jalen McCleskey.

McMillan had a high-stepping 18-yard run to set up Merek Glover's third field goal, a tiebreaking 36-yarder, before TD passes to Jacob Robertson (7 yards) and a wide-open Amare Jones (20 yards) on the next two drives. McMillan had only 22 yards passing at halftime, but was 9-of-10 for 193 yards after that in his final game. The former transfer from LSU won two Texas state championships playing at Cedar Hill High School, which is about 35 miles from the TCU campus where the bowl was played. - AP College Football

  2019 ALL-SOUTHLAND CONFERENCE SECOND TEAM (COACHES): WR Cyron Sutton, McNeese, Jr., New Orleans, La.,...Sutton stamped his named in the McNeese record book during the 2019 season by setting a new single-season record with 67 catches, a new single-game record with 13 receptions (vs. Sam Houston State), and in consecutive games with a touchdown catch with seven. A native of New Orleans, Sutton ranked third in the league with 950 receiving yards, fourth with 79.2 receiving yards per game and fifth in total catches. As a junior in 2019, the Chattanooga, Tennessee native led the team in sacks for the second consecutive year. He also finished second on the team in tackles for loss, while starting in all 12 games.   2019 ALL-AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE HONORABLE MENTION (COACHES): S P.J. Hall, Tulane, Sr.,...Hall earned AAC Honor Roll recognition after he finished his senior year by starting in every game and posted a single season career-high of 63 tackles, which ranked second on the team. The Hoover, Alabama native also tallied a pair of interceptions and had a team-best seven pass breakups in 2019. Known for leadership both on and off the field, Hall was selected as one of five team captains this season. Hall's postseason honor marks the second time this year he has been honored by the league office. Earlier this year, Hall picked up AAC Defensive Player of the Week honors after he tallied five tackles, one tackle for loss and forced one fumble in the Green Wave's bowl-clinching victory at home over Tulsa. - Tulane Football

  2019 ALL-MIAA FIRST TEAM (COACHES): Wide Receiver Shae Wyatt, Central Missouri,...The leading receiver in the MIAA, Shae Wyatt earns his second career All-MIAA award and first time making the First Team. Wyatt leads the MIAA and is sixth in Division II with 1,229 receiving yards on 53 receptions. Wyatt has hauled in 10 touchdowns and is seventh in Division II in yards per reception at 23.19. With more games left to play, Wyatt is already second at UCM for receiving yards in a single season. Seven times this season Wyatt has reached 100 yards receiving, including three straight. At Emporia State Wyatt set a career-high with 226 receiving yards which is the third most for a single game in team history. He is one of just two receivers in the MIAA averaging more than 100 yards per game with 111.7 to lead the league. - Central Missouri Football

  Justin McMillan threw a touchdown pass and ran for three scores to lead Tulane to a 38-26 victory over Tulsa on Saturday. Tulane (6-3, 3-2 American Athletic Conference) snapped a two-game skid while Tulsa (2-7, 0-5) has lost five straight. Tulsa pulled to 31-26 on Jacob Rainey's 38-yard field goal with 10 minutes remaining. McMillan then lead a five-minute, 70-yard drive capped by his 1-yard scoring run, to stretch the lead to 38-26. Tulsa went three-and-out on its next series before the Green Wave ran out the clock.

McMillan was 12 of 16 for 184 yards passing and added 73 yards rushing. Stephon Huderson ran for 100 yards on seven carries and Willie Langham scored on a fumble recovery for Tulane. Smith was 17-of-33 passing for 270 yards and threw a touchdown pass for the Golden Hurricane. The Green Wave took a 17-13 lead late in the second quarter on McMillan's 1-yard TD run. Following the ensuing kickoff, Smith threw a pass to Josh Johnson, who then fumbled the ball on P.J. Hall's hit.   Justin McMillan went 18 of 24 for 231 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 37 yards and another score Saturday to help Tulane beat Connecticut 49-7. The Green Wave (5-1, 2-0 American) scored two touchdowns in each of the first three quarters and capped their scoring at 49-0 on Keon Howard's 14-yard TD pass to Jha'Quan Jackson in the fourth quarter. Howard relieved McMillan of quarterback duties in the third quarter and finished 8 of 10 for 92 yards and a touchdown and ran for 42 yards and a score. The Huskies (1-5, 0-3) avoided a shutout with 2:27 left game when Jack Zergiotis connected with Cameron Hairston for a 16-yard TD pass. Corey Dauphine led the run game for the Green Wave with 87 yards and touchdown on five carries.
