  01/04/21 - Linwood CrumprSr/2022, Colorado State, 5-11, 175 (DS#999 CB) + More +

The 6-foot, 175-pound Crump has already played parts of five seasons of college football. He's eligible to play another season due to the NCAA's ruling that the 2020 season didn't count toward eligibility for any player. He has 50 career tackles in 48 games played, with three interceptions (all in 2018) and 15 passes defensed. He led Temple in pass breakups in 2020. He redshirted in 2019 after missing most the season with a hand injury. CSU's secondary is in need of improvement. Despite the excellent pressure created by the defensive line, the Rams were still 10th in the Mountain West in pass yards allowed per game (250) in their four-game 2020 season. Crump will have one season with CSU. - Fort Collins Coloradoan

It could be argued that the best recruits the Colorado State football team is landing are already on the roster. The front line of defense for the Rams is looking stalwart by keeping several stars onboard for next season. Normally, players with eligibility remaining choosing to stay on the roster isn't news. These aren't normal times. The 2020 season didn't count against NCAA student-athletes' eligibility, so seniors can stay another year. But there's the allure of the NFL or a graduate transfer to greener pastures. Some are leaving, but some key contributors are staying.

Defensive line stars Manny Jones and Scott Patchan have announced they'll return for another year at CSU. Fellow defensive lineman Ellison Hubbard is also expected to return. Those are arguably CSU's top defensive senior players, all coming back. Patchan - a graduate transfer from Miami - led the MW in sacks and tackles for lost yardage per game in the abbreviated four-game 2020 season with 5.5 sacks and 7.5 tackles for loss. - Fort Collins Coloradoan

A versatile, experienced offensive lineman has committed to join the Colorado State football team. Temple graduate transfer Vincent Picozzi tweeted Saturday night that he would transfer to the Rams, where he'll be used to help build the offensive line. The 6-foot-4, 300-pound Picozzi will have one season left to play after making 34 career starts at Temple. He's taken snaps at all five offensive line positions in his career, including more than 200 snaps at three different positions. - Fort Collins Coloradoan
