  2020 NFL COMBINE INVITE: Benny LeMay, RB, Charlotte,...Charlotte's all-time FBS rushing leader, LeMay posted back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing seasons as a junior and senior. His 3,232 career rushing yards rank second all-time for the 49ers and first for players that competed at the FBS level for their entire careers. LeMay ranked second in C-USA with a 98.4 rushing avg. (1,082 yards total) and led the league in all-purpose yards (120.4/game; 1,324 total). He was named first team all-C-USA as both a junior and senior, the first 49er to earn first team all-league honors two times. Listed on the Chuck Bednarik Award Preseason Watch List as a candidate for the nation's top defensive player award, Highsmith was also a semifinalist for the Burlsworth Trophy, given to the top collegiate player that began his career as a walk-on. He ranked fourth in the nation in sacks (14.0) and fifth in tackles for loss (21.5) as a senior. Charlotte led C-USA with a school-record 203.0 rushing yards per game and ranked third in fewest sacks allowed. Clark started all 12 games to run his streak of consecutive starts to 31 games.   2019 EAST-WEST SHRINE BOWL OFFENSIVE MVP: Benny LeMay,...Charlotte continued its flair for the dramatic into the post-season as standout running back Benny LeMay scored the game-winning touchdown with under two minutes to play to lift the East to a 31-27 victory in the 2020 East-West Shrine Bowl, Saturday in St. Petersburg, Fla. LeMay, one of three 49ers playing in the senior showcase, scored on a nine-yard run with 1:52 remaining to give the East the four-point win.

He scored twice in the game and was named the Shrine Bowl's Offensive MVP. He hed the East with 80 yards on 16 carries and the two TDs. He also scored on a 10-yard run in the first quarter. Charlotte, which advanced to its first-ever bowl game under first-year coach Will Healy in 2019, scored three game-winning TDs in the fourth quarter, this past season. LeMay, likewise, also continued his high-scoring pattern. He had eight games with two or more touchdowns in his career, including five in 2019. The first-team all-Conference USA selection is the 49ers all-time FBS rushing leader with 3,232 yard in his four-year career.   2019 ALL-BIG SOUTH SECOND TEAM (COACHES): WR - Keith Pearson, Jr., Presbyterian,...Pearson led the Blue Hose in receiving yards with 777, which sits second in the Blue Hose DI single-season record book. He had 71 catches for 777 yards and three touchdowns on the year to garner his first All-Big South honor. He set the single-season record in Presbyterian's DI record book for catches with 71 grabs. Pearson finished tied for first in the league in receptions, tied for first in receptions per game, fifth in receiving yards and sixth in yards per game. He became the seventh player in Presbyterian's DI history to record 1,000 receiving yards and the eighth player to eclipse 100 career catches.

He had seven games with at least five catches, while also recording three 100 yard games. Pearson had five catches for 68 yards and a touchdown against North Alabama. He had 116 yards on eight catches at Hampton, while following that up with nine catches for 129 yards against Charleston Southern. In the Blue Hose season finale against St. Andrews, Pearson recorded a career-high 10 catches for 138 yards while picking up his first multi-touchdown game of his career. - Presbyterian Football

  2019 ALL-OHIO VALLEY CONFERENCE SECOND TEAM (COACHES): K - Antonio Zita, Tennessee State,...Zita produced one of the better seasons for a kicker in FCS play this season. The sophomore finished with a conference high 20 field goals, which tied for the fifth most in a single season in OVC history and set a new TSU record. Zita ranked sixth in the nation and led the conference averaging 1.67 field goals per game. The kicker also ranked seventh in the FCS and topped the OVC in field goal percentage (.833).
