Isaiah Ifanse ran for 196 yards and a touchdown and passed for a touchdown to lead Montana State to a 24-10 win over Austin Peay in the FCS quarterfinals on Friday night. The fifth-seeded Bobcats (11-3) will take on the winner of the Illinois State and defending champion North Dakota State in the semifinals. Ifanse broke loose on the third play of the game, racing 60 yards up the middle for a touchdown. Late in the third quarter, he took the snap out of the Wildcat formation and threw a jump pass to defensive tackle Jason Scrempos, who was lined up at tight end, giving MSU a 24-3 lead.

MSU's Brayden Konkol intercepted a JaVaughn Craig pass on the Governors' first possession of the second half. The Bobcats drove 57 yards for a touchdown when Tucker Rovig hit Kevin Kassis in the back corner of the end zone for a 5-yard score. MSU held APSU (11-4) to no first downs in the first quarter and just three through the first three quarters. Rovig finished 13-of-20 passing with one touchdown and 114 yards. Logan Jones had 59 yards rushing on 13 carries. Craig was 18-of-37 passing with 173 yards and two interceptions. Chase Garbers and California were determined not to rest on their laurels after last week's win over Stanford in The Big Game. The Golden Bears showed no signs of a letdown as they defeated UCLA 28-18 on Saturday night at the Rose Bowl. Cal (7-5, 4-5 Pac-12) was led by Christopher Brown Jr.'s 111 yards rushing and two touchdowns while the defense had a season-high six sacks and held the Bruins to 58 rushing yards. "Many people might have seen this as a trap game coming off the win over Stanford, but I think we came out and imposed our will on them. We had that mindset during practice all week," said Garbers, who completed 17 of 29 passes for 230 yards with a touchdown and an interception.

Brown - who had his second 100-yard game of the season — scored both of his touchdowns in the second half as the Golden Bears completed the regular season with wins in three of their last four. Cal led 14-10 at halftime before they went up by two scores with 5:38 remaining in the third quarter on Brown's 1-yard run up the middle. After UCLA responded with Joshua Kelley's 1-yard TD run and Dorian Thompson-Robinson's pass to Delon Hurt for the 2-point conversion, Brown got another huge hole and went 11 yards to give the Bears a 28-18 advantage 7 seconds into the fourth quarter. - California/AP College Football

He has also forced two fumbles, intercepted a pass and returned 12 kicks for 149 yards. Davis, 6-foot-1, 200 pounds, is a four-time All-American in the 60 meter hurdles indoors and the 110 meter hurdles outdoors. He was a second-team midseason All-American selection by Athlon Sports and The Athletic and Davis is on the watch list for the Paul Hornung Award, given annually to the nation's most versatile player. Davis walked on the Cal track team and after several unsuccessful attempts to contact the football staff, joined the team in the spring of 2016. It took nearly a decade, a heads-up play by oft-injured California quarterback Chase Garbers and one final stand by the Golden Bears defense to make it happen. The Axe is headed back to Berkeley. Garbers scored on a 16-yard scramble with 1:19 remaining in the fourth quarter, lifting California to a 24-20 win over Stanford in the 122nd annual Big Game on Saturday. "We finally got it back," Garbers said of The Axe, which has been in Stanford's possession since 2009. Garbers, who was knocked out of last week's loss to USC, passed for 285 yards and a touchdown and ran for 72 yards on 13 carries. His final run came after he overthrew Nikko Remigio in the end zone and helped the Golden Bears (6-5, 3-5 Pac-12) end a nine-game losing streak to their San Francisco bay rivals. "I was just excited I had a rushing touchdown" Garbers said.

Garbers wasn't even cleared to play against Stanford until late Thursday evening. He had suffered an upper body injury a week earlier against USC and was held out of all contact drills in the days leading up to the Big Game. "Gutsy, tough," Bears coach Justin Wilcox said of his quarterback. "To make the throws that he made on the last drive and then the scramble for the touchdown, those are huge plays. I think people are going to be talking about that drive for a while." California fans stormed the field after the game, forming a blue-and-yellow sea on the floor of Stanford Stadium. More importantly for Wilcox's team, California became bowl eligible heading into the season finale against UCLA next week. - California/AP College Football
