Richard Ukele snared a tipped fourth-quarter pass and returned it 17 yards to complete Bryant's second-half comeback for a 14-10 win over Wagner in the season finale for both schools Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs finished their season with back-to-back wins to finish 4-8 overall, 3-4 in the Northeast Conference. Wagner finished 1-11 overall, 1-6 in conference. The Seahawks built a 10-0 lead in the first half. Joshua DeCambre pulled in a 19-yard pass from Christian Alexander-Stevens in the first quarter and Eric Silvester kicked a 49-yard field goal to start the second.

Bryant took the second-half kick and marched 90 yards in 10 plays. Daniel Adeboboye punched over from a yard out to cut the deficit to 10-7. Alexander-Stevens attempted a pass deep in his own territory that was tipped in the backfield. Ukele broke off coverage and snared the ball in the air and raced to the end zone for the game-winning touchdown with 11:44 left in the game. Bryant had just 11 first downs, was 2 of 10 in third-down efficiency, and managed just 177 yards of total offense. Wagner controlled the football for 10 minutes more than the Bulldogs and had 260 yards of total offense but committed two turnovers. - AP College Football

NOV 18 NEC SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: LUKE SAMPERI, BRYANT, PK, Jr., 6-1, 195 lbs., Beverly, MA/Beverly, WEEK 12 Stats: 6 points, 2 field goals (45, 50),...Samperi was on the kicking end of three pivotal first-half plays, including a pair of long field goals, during Bryant's 20-16 home win over NEC rival Duquesne. The third-year Bulldog accounted for his team's first six points. He opened the game's scoring by nailing a 45-yard field goal 2:47 into the first quarter. Samperi broke a 3-3 tie by blasting a 50-yarder through the uprights 1:35 into the second quarter. It was the longest field goal converted by a NEC kicker this season. On the ensuing kickoff, Samperi caught the Dukes with a successful onsides attempt that was recovered at the opponent's 44-yard line. He bid for a third field goal late in the fourth quarter, but the 44-yard insurance attempt was partially blocked. - Northeast Conference Football

David Onyemem intercepted a pass just outside the red zone in the closing seconds and Bryant held on to upset Duquesne 20-16 on Saturday. Duquesne, the defending Northeast Conference champion, blocked a field goal with 2:10 left and marched to the Bryant 25. A 14-yard completion put the ball at the 25 but an unsportsmanlike penalty pushed it back to the 40 and on second down Onyemen picked off Brett Brumbaugh. Bryant (3-8, 2-4) is the only NEC team with a winning record against Duquesne, winning six of the last seven.

The Bulldogs surprised Duquesne in the second quarter after taking a 6-3 lead on a 50-yard Luke Samperi field goal. An onside kick set Bryant up on the Dukes' 46 and on the second snap Hunter Hill went 39 yards for a touchdown and 12-3 lead. On the third snap of the second half, Andrew Brackett returned an interception 50 yards to the Duquesne 3 and two runs later, Daniel Adeboboye got into the end zone. Duquesne had a 370-216 edge in offensive yards, a 27-11 advantage in first downs, and held the ball 16 more minutes, but had to settle for three field goals. Robert Brown had 17 tackles for Bryant to surpass 200 for his career. Jesse Nenerowicz, who became the first Bulldog with 300 tackles last week, had 13. - AP College Football

Alfred Dorbor ran six yards for the game-winning touchdown to earn Bryant its first victory of the season and spoil Merrimack's Homecoming game, 24-17 in a Northeast Conference battle Saturday afternoon. In its first game at Merrimack since 2007 and first as NEC rivals, Bryant came in knowing one of its current streaks would end: either its five-game losing streak to start the season or its seven-game win streak over the Warriors. The win is the first for Bulldogs coach Chris Merritt.

Bryant came into the game averaging 12.6 points per game while allowing opponents more than 400 yards of total offense. While almost doubling their scoring output, the Bulldogs held Merrimack to 185 yards passing and 169 on the ground. Bryant was stopped at midfield on its first possession of the game, but Merrimack fumbled the punt and the Bulldogs scored a play later when Anthony Frederick scored from 21 yards out. Kory Curtis hit Vincent Nisivoccia with a 23-yard touchdown pass with 1:17 left in the first half to tie and, after forcing a Merrimack punt, took the lead on Luke Samperi's 28-yard field goal to take a 17-14 halftime lead. Dorbor finished with 31 carries for 138 yards and a touchdown while Nisivoccia had seven catches for 98 yards and a score. - AP College Football
