  2021 ALL-SWAC PRESEASON SECOND TEAM (COACHES): K Richard Garcia III, Sophomore, Texas Southern,...Garcia III led the SWAC in field goals made (11) and percentage (78.6) as he finished 11-of-14 with a long of 45 yards. A sophomore from Mesquite, Texas native, he ranked 21st amongst fellow NCAA FCS kickers in percentage and 25th in field goals per game (1.22) in 2019.   2019 ALL-SWAC FOOTBALL FIRST TEAM (COACHES): WR Donnie Corley, Junior, Texas Southern,...A junior from Detroit, Mich., Corley was the lone player in the SWAC to average 100-plus receiving yards per game (103.9) while also leading the conference with 72 receptions. He finished with 1,039 yards on the season which marked the first time in school history TSU has had back-to-back 1,000-yard receivers. Corley had five games with 100-plus yards receiving with a high of 198 at Houston Baptist on Sept. 28.   Former LSU wide receiver Jonathan Giles will return to the state of Texas to finish his college career after spending just over a month in the NCAA transfer portal. Giles will transfer to Texas Southern, according to 247Sports, and the 6-foot-1, 186-pound senior will be eligible to play immediately as a graduate transfer. Giles, who is from Missouri City, Texas, told 247Sports that his father worked at Texas Southern when he was growing up and "that's where I learned how to play football and started playing football." - The Advocate

Dickson finished the 2018 season as the second-leading receiver in the SWAC with 815 yards and was fourth in receptions (46) while tying for fifth with six touchdowns. The Navasota, Texas native averaged 74.1 receiving yards per contest and 17.7 yards per catch. His best contest of the season came against Texas State as he caught seven receptions for 159 yards and two touchdowns.
