  NOV 21 MEAC FOOTBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Norfolk State sophomore quarterback Otto Kuhns (QB, 6-3, 194, So., Columbus, Ohio) made history at Norfolk State when he amassed six touchdowns for the Spartans in their win over South Carolina State. He is the second player at the university in the past 22 years to score five times through the air in a single game. Kuhns also ran in the game-winning touchdown in the last five minutes of the fourth quarter to end the Norfolk State 2022 season with a win, ending the game with a total of 277 yards. - MEAC Football

  NOV 21 MEAC FOOTBALL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK: Norfolk State freshman Kevon King (RB, 5-11, 200, Fr., Chesapeake, Va.) averaged 8.6 yards per carry on 10 attempts against South Carolina State. He broke free for a 57-yard run on Norfolk State's final offensive drive, putting the Spartans in the red zone and setting up the team's game-winning touchdown.   Otto Kuhns threw five touchdown passes and scored from 15-yards out with five minutes left in the game to lift Norfolk State to a 42-38 win over South Carolina State in the regular season finale Saturday. The win snapped a four-game loss streak by the Spartans (2-9, 2-3 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference). South Carolina State (3-8, 1-4) closed out its season with four straight losses. Kuhns was 16 of 28 passing for 242 yards with an interception and ran for 41 yards on eight carries. Three of his TD passes went to Da'Quan Felton, who caught nine balls for 163 yards. Tyrece Nick threw two touchdown passes, was picked off once and ran 24 yards for a first-quarter touchdown for South Carolina State.
