Montana State Football   Caden Dowler had a 34-yard interception return for a third-quarter touchdown and Justin Lamson had touchdowns passing and running for the seventh straight game to lift Montana State to a 31-28 win over Montana to win the Big Sky Conference championship on Saturday. The Bobcats (10-2, 8-0), ranked third in the FCS coaches poll, ran the clock out after Eli Gillman scored on a 52-yard run to pull the second-ranked Grizzlies (11-1, 7-1) within three with 6:59 to play. That included a fourth-and-1 conversion at midfield and Lamson running for 5 yards on a third-and-4 from the Montana 40. It was the highest-ranking matchup in the 124 games of the rivalry now known as the Brawl of the Wild. Montana leads the series 74-44-5 but both teams now have 19 Big Sky titles.

Keali'i Ah Yat had a touchdown pass and his 18-yard touchdown run in the third quarter - the first third-quarter points Montana State allowed since its season-opening loss at Oregon - but on the Grizzlies' next possession Dowler ran untouched after grabbing a tipped pass to put the Bobcats on top 24-21. On the next possession the Grizzlies had touchdowns nullified by penalties on back-to-back plays. Eventually Zac Crews blocked a 44-yard field-goal attempt. Lamson capped the ensuing drive with a 23-yard touchdown run for what proved to be the decisive points. Lamson, a transfer from Stanford, was 18-of-20 passing for 175 yards and ran for 80 on 15 keepers. Julius Davis had 106 yards on 15 carries. Ah Yat was 26 of 32 for 186 yards, Gillman ran for 132 yards on 15 carries and Davis Brooks had 10 catches for 113 and a score. Piling up 72 yards on the final possession, the Bobcats finished with 416 yards to 364 for Montana. - AP College Football

Nevada Football   Carter Jones threw an 8-yard touchdown pass to Jeff Carpenter and Joe McFadden kicked two field goals before Nevada stopped Wyoming at the goal line in the final seconds for a 13-7 on a Saturday when the Cowboys retired Josh Allen's number. Allen, the Buffalo Bills quarterback and reigning NFL MVP, was present to see his No. 17 jersey become the first to be retired by Wyoming during a ceremony at halftime. Allen led the Cowboys to two consecutive eight-win seasons (2016-17) and a berth in the Mountain West championship.

Wyoming (4-7, 2-5) began the final drive on its own 18 with 2:22 to go and had a second-and-goal at the 1 with 13 seconds remaining. A pass lost 4 yards before the Cowboys rushed to line for a final play, a pass broken up by Bryson Snelling in the right corner of the end zone. Kaden Anderson's 5-yard scoring pass to Evan Svoboda, set up by a fumble recovery at the Nevada 21, late in the third quarter got the Cowboys within three points before McFadden kicked a 43-yard field goal midway through the fourth. McFadden also kicked a 41-yarder in the third. Jones' TD pass to Carpenter came with just over a minute left in the first half. Jones passed for 58 yards and rushed for 34. Caleb Ramseur rushed for 88 yards on 19 carries for Nevada (3-8, 2-5). Anderson was 22-of-39 for 157 yards. - Wyoming/AP College Football

East Tennessee St. Football   Devontae Houston ran for 125 yards and two touchdowns, Jacolby Criswell threw for 244 yards and another score, and East Tennessee State closed its regular season with a 28-26 victory over The Citadel on Saturday. East Tennessee State (7-5, 5-3 Southern) secured seven wins for the second season in a row and coach Will Healy has the second-most wins by a first-year coach in program history, tied with Paul Hamilton in 1997 and Tre Lamb in 2024. Houston's 15-yard touchdown run with 42 seconds left in the first half gave ETSU a 28-14 lead.

The Citadel scored all 12 second-half points, the last on a 33-yard field goal with 7:37 remaining. The Bulldogs had a 39-yard touchdown through the air on the scoring run, but the two-point conversion attempt was no good when Mike Jenkins batted away a pass in the end zone. Quentin Hayes threw for 200 yards but he was intercepted twice for The Citadel (4-8, 3-5), which lost its third straight including 49-0 at then-No. 6 Mississippi. He also led the Bulldogs with 18 carries for 103 yards. Garrison Johnson Sr. and Beau Herrington each had a rushing score. ETSU was coming off a 52-point performance against Western Carolina in which Criswell and Jackson Byrd combined for six passing touchdowns to set the program's single-game record. ETSU entered needing 421 total yards to break the program's record for yards in a season set by the 2021 squad at 5,319 but came up just short after finishing with 409. - AP College Football

Presbyterian (10-2, 6-2 Pioneer Football League) took a 13-0 lead heading into halftime.   Rhode Island Football   Antwain Littleton Jr. ran for 148 yards, scoring twice, and Rhode Island claimed the outright Coastal Athletic Association championship with a 38-10 rout of Hampton on Saturday. The conference championship adds to a list of URI milestones in the past two seasons under longtime coach Jim Fleming. The CAA championship is the Rams' first outright league title since winning the Yankee Conference in 1985 and comes on the heels of sharing the CAA title with Richmond last season. Rhode Island, ranked No. 9 in the FCS coaches poll, has earned the league's automatic berth to the FCS playoffs for the first time and has finished a conference season undefeated for the first time since the 1985 team went 5-0 in the Yankee Conference.

The Rams (10-2, 8-0) are one win shy of tying the program record of 11 wins, established last season. In a matchup of first versus last in the CAA, Rhode Island rolled up 359 yards in the first half and led 24-7 at halftime. The Rams got a 65-yard touchdown run from Littleton on their second play from scrimmage, a 28-yard TD run by Brendon Barrow and Littleton ran 6 yards for a touchdown, all in the first quarter. Conner Kenyon, who passed for 258 yards, had a touchdown pass in each of the last two quarters. Greg Gaines III had 139 receiving yards on eight catches. Earl Woods III had a 44-yard touchdown run for the only touchdown for Hampton (2-10, 0-8).   Arizona Football   Kedrick Reescano ran for three touchdowns, Jabari Mann returned an interception for a 34-yard touchdown and Arizona used a dominating fourth quarter to roll over Baylor 41-17 on Saturday. The Wildcats (8-3, 5-3 Big 12) shut down one of the nation's best passing offenses, holding Baylor's Sawyer Robertson to 161 yards - half his season average - while forcing three fourth-quarter turnovers. With Arizona leading 21-17, Robertson threw an interception in the end zone late in the third quarter, then running back Bryson Washington lost a fumble at Baylor's 28. Ismail Mahdi scored on the next play and, after Arizona forced a turnover on downs, Reescano burst through a big hole for a 19-yard touchdown. Mann sealed it on the next drive with his pick-6, capping a flurry of 20 points in a little over four minutes. Kris Hutson had nine catches for 133 yards and a touchdown in Arizona's fourth straight win.

The Bears (5-6, 3-5) turned the ball over on five straight possessions - twice on downs - starting with Treydan Stukes' interception of Robertson in the end zone late in the third quarter. The game looked like it would be an offensive shootout as both teams moved quickly down the field for two touchdowns each - with a little help. Robertson hit Josh Cameron for a 9-yard touchdown pass on an opening drive kept alive by a fourth-down pass interference call against Arizona. Robertson scored on a 2-yard run the next drive, helped by a fourth-down offside penalty and a pass interference call against the Wildcats. Arizona took advantage of a pass interference call in the end zone to score on Reescano's 2-yard run and Noah Fifita converted a fourth-and-goal from the 2 by finding Hutson in the corner of the end zone. The Wildcats scored again the help of two more penalties - holding and pass interference on Baylor cornerback Reggie Bush - to open the third quarter, going up 21-17 on Reescano's 1-yard run. - Arizona/AP College Football
