2022 ASUN CONFERENCE CO-OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: ShunDerrick Powell, North Alabama,...The ASUN's leading rusher, Powell ranks third in FCS for rushing touchdowns (18), total touchdowns (18) and is fourth for rushing yards (1,509). He produced seven 100-yard rushing games this season, including a span of five-straight, highlighted by four games with more than 200 yards rushing. Powell recorded a school-record and career-best 251 yards against UVA Wise and twice topped the 200-yard mark in ASUN play against EKU (218) and Austin Peay (207). He is also listed top-5 in all of FCS for rushing yards per game (137.2), rushing yards per carry (6.83), all-purpose yards (172.0) and scoring (10.8). In ASUN games, he averaged 146.8 rushing yards per game, whic h was more than 40 yards per game greater than the second leading rusher.
