Coach Prime has arrived in Mississippi. Not even 12 hours after his inaugural press conference as Jackson State's head football coach, Deion Sanders lured a Power 5 player to his program. Mississippi State freshman defensive back Javorrius Selmon announc ed via Twitter on Tuesday evening his decision to leave MSU without having played a single game. He intends on teaming up with Sanders at JSU. "Big announcement first I would like to thank the entire Mississippi State football staff for the opportunity t hey gave me along with the love and support they showed but at this time I want to announce that I am coming home to play for Coach Prime!" Selmon said in his tweet. Selmon opted out of the 2020 season just over a week ago citing concerns about the COVID -19 pandemic. The Provine High School product won't have far to travel when he gets back on the playing field in 2021. He'll be playing for one of the best defensive backs in the history of the game, too. - The Clarion Ledger
