  SEPT 6 MISSOURI VALLEY FOOTBALL NOTABLE PERFORMANCE: RB Dominic Gonnella, North Dakota State - Gonnella rushed for 135 yards and two touchdowns in North Dakota State's 28-6 home win over Albany. He averaged 10.4 yards per carry on 13 attempts. Gonnella scored on a 3-yard run in the first quarter and went 75 yards for a touchdown on the first play of the third quarter to give the Bison a 21-6 lead. - Missouri Valley Football

  Dominic Gonnella carried 13 times for 135 yards and two scores, and his 75-yard touchdown highlighted North Dakota State's 28-6 victory over Albany on Saturday. On the first play of the second half, Gonnella broke a tackle up the middle, bounced to the outside and outran the defense to the end zone for a 21-6 lead. Quincy Patterson was 12-for-16 passing for 115 yards and one TD for North Dakota State. which has won 23 straight home openers. The Bison are ranked fourth in the FCS poll.

Jeff Undercuffler threw for 183 yards with one touchdown and one interception for Albany. Roy Alexander put the Great Danes on the board with four seconds left before halftime on a 67-yard touchdown reception. He finished with three catches for 94 yards. North Dakota State was picked to finish second in the Missouri Valley Conference behind South Dakota State in a preseason poll of the league's media, head coaches and sports information directors. SDSU had 24 first-place votes and NDSU 18. The two teams face each other on Nov. 6 in Brookings. - North Dakota State/AP College Football

  MARCH 8 MISSOURI VALLEY PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEE: RB Dominic Gonnella, North Dakota State -- Gonnella had a career-high 14 rushes and 76 yards in North Dakota State's 25-0 win at Missouri State as the Bison rolled up 272 yards on the ground. He averaged 5.4 yards per carry and was second on the team with 89 all-purpose yards including two receptions for 13 yards. Gonnella is second on the Bison with 24 carries through three spring games. - Missouri Valley Conference Football
