Charlie Dean threw for 316 yards and a career-high four touchdowns, Aidan Borguet rushed for 117 yards and Harvard beat Pennsylvania 37-14 on Saturday. Dean had three touchdowns in the first half for a 24-7 lead. Kaedyn Odermann opened the scoring with h is first touchdown catch of the season, Joe Young added a 29-yarder and Tyler Neville scored from 14-yards out with 27 seconds left before the break. Haven Montefalco capped a 75-yard drive to begin the second half with a 6-yard TD grab.Dean was 2 9 of 38 without an interception and Borguet reached 100 yards for the third straight game for Harvard (6-3, 4-2 Ivy League). Borguet also moved into sixth on the program's single-season rushing list with 1,120 yards. Jonah Lipel made three field goals wi th a long of 42. Aidan Sayin was 21-of-31 passing for 212 yards and a touchdown for Penn (7-2, 4-2). Rory Starkey Jr. caught eight passes for 117 yards and a touchdown. Aidan Borguet ran for 179 yards with two touchdowns, Kym Wimberly also had two touchdowns, and Harvard defeated Dartmouth 28-13 on Saturday. Borguet's touchdown runs of 12 yards in the third quarter and 21 yards in the fourth were the only scoring plays in the second half. Wimberly's 34-yard reception from Luke Emge and his 9-yard TD run helped Harvard to a 14-13 halftime lead. Emge completed 11 of 17 passes for 195 yards for the Crimson (5-2, 3-1 Ivy League). Nick Howard and Zack Bair scored on short r uns for Dartmouth (2-5, 1-3). Dylan Cadwallader was 19-of-32 passing for 212 yards for the Big Green. Charlie Dean threw a pair of second-half touchdown passes, Aidan Borguet ran for more that 100 yards and Harvard beat Cornell 35-28 on Friday night. Dean was 15-of-29 passing for 208 yards with a TD pass each to Tyler Neville and Scott Woods II in the th ird and fourth quarters. Aidan Borguet finished with a season-high 165 yards, and his 2-yard touchdown run capped an 11-play, 71-yard drive that lasted six minutes and stretched Harvard's lead to 35-21 with 2:50 to play. Kym Wimberly had five catches for 82 yards for Harvard (3-1, 2-0 Ivy League).Cornell (2-2, 0-2) took a 7-0 late in the first quarter when Jameson Wang's 1-yard touchdown run ended an 18-play, 89-yard drive that chewed up 10 minutes. But two Jonah Lipel's field goals sandwiched be tween Jelani Machen's 17-yard scoop and score off a blocked punt gave Harvard a 13-7 lead at halftime. The Big Red pulled to 27-21 on Wang's 11-yard touchdown pass to Thomas Glover with 9:03 to play. Wang ended the scoring with a 1-yard TD run with 57 se conds left. Wang completed 18 of 31 passes for 185 yards and added 83 yards rushing that included three short-yardage touchdown runs for the Big Red. Charlie Dean threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Aidan Borguet on the first play of overtime, and Harvard scored 21 unanswered points to beat Merrimack 28-21 on Friday night. Borguet finished with 127 yards rushing and three touchdowns for Harvard in its s eason opener. His 48-yard scoring run pulled the Crimson to 21-14 with 4:31 remaining, and he tied it with a 5-yard touchdown run with about three minutes left. It was Harvard's 11th consecutive season-opening win at home.The Crimson tied the game 7-7 late in the first half when quarterback Dean faked a dive right then ran left untouched for a 2-yard touchdown. Dean threw for 162 yards and added 43 yards on the ground. Jack Zergiotis was 22-of-42 passing for 218 yards and three touchdowns for Mer rimack (1-2). He lofted a pass across midfield to a wide-open Jacari Carter that stretched the Merrimack (2-1) lead to 21-7 with 11:50 remaining. Carter finished with seven catches for 66 yards that also included a 5-yard TD catch early in the second qua rter. Aidan Borguet ran for 169 yards on 22 carries and scored twice and Harvard beat Lafayette 30-3 on Saturday. The Crimson (5-0) scored 10 points in each of the first three quarters against the Patriot League Leopards (2-5). Alex Washington had two intercep tions for the Crimson. Ah-Shaun Davis threw for 182 yards for Lafayette with two interceptions. Harvard leads the series 18-3 and has gone 15-2 against the Leopards under head coach Tim Murphy since 1994. Harvard has won seven straight against Lafayette, and is 11-2 all-time against the Leopards in Cambridge. Aaron Shampklin and Sone Ntoh rushed for two touchdowns apiece en route to a 49-17 win over Brown in their Ivy League opener Friday night. A crowd of 20,748 was on hand to watch Crimson coach Tim Murphy earn his 180th Ivy League win, surpassing Yale's Ca rmen Cozza (1965-96) for most coaching wins in the Ivy. The Crimson, among the teams "also receiving votes" in the FCS coaches poll, put the game away by halftime, taking a 42-0 lead into the break. Ntoh scored form the 8 and Justin Mitchell returned a f umble 13 yards for another TD as Harvard ended the first half with two scores in 11 seconds. The Harvard offense scored five touchdowns on eight first-half possessions, including scores after a Brown fumble, missed field goal, interception and turnover o n downs.Shampklin, the 2018 Ivy League-leading rusher (1,599 yards), carried 13 times for 121 yards and two short TDs. Aidan Borguet rushed for a score. The Crimson had outgained Brown 104-7 by halftime and finished with 243 yards rushing to 14. B rown's EJ Perry completed 34 of 45 passes for 346 yards and two touchdowns, including a two-yarder to Wes Rockett as the game ended. Graham Walker caught eight passes for 126 yards and a TD. Aaron Shampklin carried it 14 times for 183 yards and two touchdowns, Charlie Dean passed for two scores and Harvard beat Georgetown 44-9 on Saturday. Harvard scored a touchdown on its opening three drives and cruised. Aidan Borguet rushed for 56-yard to uchdown, Dean connected with Kaedyn Odermann for a 31-yard score, and Shampklin added a 36-yard scoring run for his first TD since Nov. 3 2018. Borguet finished with 80 yards rushing for Harvard (1-0), which played for the first time since Nov. 23, 2019. The Crimson is 5-0 against the Hoyas since 2014, outscoring them 195-31. Joseph Brunell was 20-of-37 passing for 249 yards for Georgetown (1-1), which faces another Ivy League school next week at Columbia.
