  2019 ALL-SIAC FOOTBALL FIRST TEAM (COACHES): Quarterback Slade Jarman, Fort Valley State, Senior,...The SIAC's top passing offense was led by Jarman, which the senior quarterback received the top honors of Player of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year and All-SIAC First Team. The three-time SIAC Offensive Player of the Week and once named the BOXTOROW National Player of the Week ranked within NCAA Division II's Top 15 in eight different offensive categories when he unfortunately suffered a season-ending injury in the start of the third quarter of week eight's game. Jarman led the SIAC in passing yards per game (262.2 yds/gm) and set his personal best numbers of 174 completions in 281 attempts for 2,099 yards with 18 touchdowns to five interceptions for a 61.9-percent and a 142.25 pass efficiency rating.

The Pensacola, Fla., native also rushed 123 yards on 74 carries with six touchdowns. As part of his game performances, Jarman went 25 of 43 for 391 yards and six scores against Benedict College, 33 of 48 for 386 yards and four touchdowns and five carries for 30 yards and a score at Central State, 22 of 38 for 254 yards and a touchdown and 13 rushes for 45 yards and three scores at Florida Tech. The 2017 All-SIAC Second Team and Newcomer of the Year was a perfect 12 for 12 for 220 yards and a 59-yard touchdown pass in what was his final game at Clark Atlanta. - Fort Valley State Football

  2019 SIAC OVERALL PLAYER OF THE YEAR/MVP & OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR (COACHES): Slade Jarman, Fort Valley State,...Fort Valley State's Jarman was named this year's Overall Player of the Year (MVP) and Offensive Player of the Year award and is the second Wildcat to win each award in almost a decade. The Florida native leads the conference in passing average (262.4 yards per game) and total offense collecting a total of 2,207 yards on the season allowing only five interceptions. Jarman was named BOXTOROW National Player of the Week and SIAC Offensive Player of the Week for three consecutive weeks this season. The Florida native was 22 of 38 passing for 254 yards and a touchdown, 13 for 45 yards and three touchdowns, and in rushing? ran in from 10 yards for the first Wildcats touchdown late in the first quarter. The senior went 21 of 30 covering 369 yards and 6 touchdowns over the next two-and-a-half quarters. On the night, the Wildcats quarterback was 25 of 43 for 391 yards and 6 touchdowns.
