2021 ALL-BIG 12 HONORABLE MENTION (COACHES): Danny Godlevske (OL),...In total, Oklahoma State had 13 people earn either a Big 12 award or earn a spot on the first or second team all-conference squad. 13 honorees in a single season is the third-most in Cowboy football history, trailing only the 2010 and 2011 seasons. - Oklahoma State Football

The key to a quarterback/center relationship starts with a good snap. New Oklahoma State center Danny Godlevske wants that relationship to be perfect. "He talks to me after every series, 'Are my snaps good?'" Cowboy quarterback Spencer Sanders said of Godlevske. "He's making sure his snaps are good every time. "I feel like our chemistry is good. He knows he can talk to me anytime. We've built a bond not just as teammates, but a brotherhood." Godlevske gelled with his fellow offensive linemen quickly as well after transferring from Miami of Ohio in January. A sixth-year senior, taking advantage of the additional year of eligibility afforded players last year because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Godlevske brought a veteran mentality and plenty of experience to the center position.

With his addition, four of the five projected starters on the OSU offensive line will have started multiple Division I games. Godlevske's experience allowed him to learn the Cowboy offense quickly, which was key in a critical position where making pre-snap calls for blocking schemes is necessary. "From spring ball, you saw that he had a work ethic like no other," starting left guard Josh Sills said. "Coming from Miami of Ohio, not being at a Power 5 school, I've heard him mention it to me quite a few times that he feels like he needs to prove himself. "As far as gelling with us, it's been great. He picked up the offense super-quick, knows all the calls. When we go turbo, he's the first one at the ball, makes the call, gets set, and everybody goes off of him. "With his football knowledge and experience that he has… he's getting himself in the best possible position to make our team successful." - Daily Oklahoman

This spring wasn't the first time Sills had met new OSU offensive lineman Danny Godlevske, who transferred from Miami of Ohio. Sills grew up in West Virginia and Godlevske in Indianapolis. The two were recruited by some of the same programs - including Miami of Ohio - and went to several of the same camps. "I kind of knew who he was then," Sills said. "When he committed here, I messaged him and was like, congratulations. "Then the first day here, it was like, we're pretty well the same people. He's a hard worker. Puts his head down and you tell him to do something, he does it." Godlevske has slotted in as the starting center for the Cowboys, bringing a veteran feel to a position that would have been lacking in experience without him. "Having a guy like him is a huge boost for everyone else just because of his football sense and being able to pick up the offense so quick," Sills said. "It's been kind of a pick-me-up for everybody else to see somebody come in and pick up the offense that fast and knows it, but at the same time has the football smarts he does. "Then you can see out and see the future of what we could possibly be, depending on what we do every day in practice." - Daily Oklahoman

Oklahoma State's 2021 recruiting class was lacking on the offensive line, but the Cowboys helped that issue with the addition of a graduate transfer on Monday. Danny Godlevske, a 6-foot-3, 300-pound center from Miami of Ohio, announced on Twitter on Monday that he would be transferring to OSU for his final season of college football. He will be a sixth-year senior. Godlevske was a four-year starter at Miami. He's the fourth member of the incoming class at OSU, along with high school prospects Logan Nobles and Silas Barr, and junior-college transfer Caleb Etienne. - Daily Oklahoman
