2022 ALL-SUN BELT CONFERENCE FOOTBALL THIRD TEAM: WR - Sam Pinckney, Coastal Carolina (RS Sr., WR - Greenwood, S.C.),...A newcomer to the Chants but not to the league, Pinckney picked up All-Sun Belt Conference honors for the second time in his career wi th his third-team recognition. He earned second-team honors in 2020 while at Georgia State. The graduate transfer has made an impact in his first year at Coastal this season, as the veteran receiver leads the Chants with 56 receptions, 836 receiving yard s, and an average of 76.0 yards per game. He also has two receiving touchdowns on the year.His 76.0 receiving yards per game average ranks fourth in the SBC and 46th nationally, while he ranks sixth in the SBC in receiving yards (836) and seventh in receptions per game (5.1). His 41 catches in SBC play are tied for third in the league, while his 577 receiving yards in league play rank eighth. Named to the 2022 Biletnikoff Award watch list, Pinckney has had at least one catch in all 11 games this season and totaled 100-plus receiving yards in wins over Buffalo (Sept. 17), ULM (Oct. 8), Old Dominion (Oct. 15), and Southern Miss (Nov. 12). Coastal Carolina football wide receiver Sam Pinckney has been added to the 2022 Biletnikoff Award watch list, the Tallahassee Quarterback Club (TQC) Foundation, Inc., the Florida-based creator and sponsor of the prestigious Biletnikoff Award, announced o n Wednesday. Pinckney was also named to the 2020 Biletnikoff Award watch list while at Georgia State. The Biletnikoff Award annually recognizes the college football season's outstanding FBS receiver. Any player, regardless of position - wide receiver, ti ght end, slot back, and running back - who catches a pass is eligible for the award. As such, the Biletnikoff Award recognizes college football's outstanding receiver, not merely college football's outstanding wide receiver. In his first season as a Chan t, the graduate transfer leads the team with 44 receptions for 623 yards and one touchdown. Georgia State wide receiver Sam Pinckney has been named to the Preseason Watch List for the 2020 Biletnikoff Award, announced Thursday by the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation. The Biletnkoff Award annually recognizes the college football season's outstanding receiver regardless of position. Pinckney, the junior from Greenwood, S.C., is a Preseason First-Team All-Sun Belt Conference selection after earning second-team all-conference honors a year ago. He led led the Panthers in 2020 with 47 catche s for 815 yards and seven touchdowns, ranking fourth in Sun Belt with 81.5 receiving yards, fifth with 4.7 receptions per game and second with 17.3 yards per catch. Over the last two seasons, Pinckney has accumulated 83 catches for 1,275 yards and 12 tou chdowns in 19 games. - Georgia State Football

Pinckne y, the redshirt sophomore from Greenwood, S.C., leads the Panthers with 44 receptions for 753 yards (17.1 yards per catch) and six touchdowns in nine games, ranking among the Sun Belt Conference leaders in all four categories. In Saturday's 30-24 comebac k victory over Georgia Southern, Pinckney had a career-high 10 receptions for 126 yards, along with a 2-point conversion catch that gave the Panthers a three-point lead with three minutes left.
