Another Georgia offensive linemen went early Saturday in the NFL draft. The Miami Dolphins traded up and selected offensive guard Solomon Kindley in the fourth round with the No. 111 overall pick. Offensive tackles Andrew Thomas (fourth pick, Giants) and Isaiah Wilson (29th pick, Titans) were first round picks. The 6-foot-3, 337-pound Kindley declared for the draft after his redshirt junior season. He will now block for Dolphins first round pick Tua Tagovailoa from Alabama, who ruined Georgia and Kindley's national title hopes in 2017 "It's going to be a tremendous - I'm going to do whatever I can to protect him and help him," Kindley told reporters. "I'm ready to work with him. He's a great quarterback and I'm ready to work with him."

The Jacksonville native was a 3-star prospect when he signed in Kirby Smart's first recruiting class and ended up starting 32 games. He was out of the starting lineup for three games last season due to a left ankle injury. "How I feel, there's no guard in the country that plays the way I play with the type of motor that I have and what I do when I'm healthy," Kindley said in January. "I feel like I'm one of the best guards in the country." - Athens Daily Banner

Guard Solomon Kindley has become Georgia's third offensive lineman to leave school early to enter the NFL draft. Kindley has announced his decision with a "Dear UGA" letter on his Instagram account. He gave thanks to the Bulldog nation, coaches, trainers and others for support in his three years with the Bulldogs. Kindley helped form one of the nation's top offensive lines that also has lost left tackle Andrew Thomas and right tackle Isaiah Wilson to the NFL draft. Georgia junior running back D'Andre Swift also previously announced he will enter the draft. Quarterback Jake Fromm, another junior, has not announced his plans. - AP College Football

Coach Kirby Smart expects No. 3 Georgia to have two starting linemen return as the Bulldogs return home this week to play South Carolina. Offensive guard Solomon Kindley, who was in uniform but did not play in last week's 43-14 win at Tennessee due to an ankle injury, was cleared for Monday's practice. Smart said Monday Kindley "should be good" to play against South Carolina. Nose guard Jordan Davis suffered a sprained ankle on the first series against Tennessee and had to be helped from the field. Smart says Davis also is expected to return this week. The status of cornerback Tyson Campbell (foot) is less certain. Smart said more will be known about Campbell later in the week. - AP College Football

On a raucous Saturday night between the hedges, No. 3 Georgia held on for a gutsy win that might have ramifications all the way to the College Football Playoff. For No. 7 Notre Dame, it was another big-game loss but a performance that should bring more respect. Jake Fromm threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Lawrence Cager early in the fourth quarter and the Bulldogs survived for a 23-17 victory that was much tougher than many expected. "That's what college football is all about, man," Georgia coach Kirby Smart said. "I hate that somebody had to lose that game. I've got a lot of respect for the way they played, and all the negative things they've heard, and to come out and play the way they did. They played really physical as a team, and so did we. We persevered."

The Bulldogs (4-0) trailed 10-7 at halftime but turned the momentum when redshirt freshman Divaad Wilson snatched away a deflected pass by Ian Book for an interception deep in Notre Dame territory. The Fromm-to-Cager combination helped push Georgia to a 23-10 lead before the Fighting Irish (2-1) made a game of it at the end. Book's 4-yard touchdown pass to Chase Claypool cut the deficit with 3:12 remaining, the Notre Dame defense held, and Book got the ball back at his own 48 after a poor punt with just under 2 minutes to go. The Irish got as far as the Georgia 38, but no farther. - Georgia/AP College Football
