  11/22/25 - Caleb RamseurSr/2026, Nevada, 5-09, 205 (DS#999 RB) + More +

Carter Jones threw an 8-yard touchdown pass to Jeff Carpenter and Joe McFadden kicked two field goals before Nevada stopped Wyoming at the goal line in the final seconds for a 13-7 on a Saturday when the Cowboys retired Josh Allen's number. Allen, the Buffalo Bills quarterback and reigning NFL MVP, was present to see his No. 17 jersey become the first to be retired by Wyoming during a ceremony at halftime. Allen led the Cowboys to two consecutive eight-win seasons (2016-17) and a berth in the Mountain West championship.

Wyoming (4-7, 2-5) began the final drive on its own 18 with 2:22 to go and had a second-and-goal at the 1 with 13 seconds remaining. A pass lost 4 yards before the Cowboys rushed to line for a final play, a pass broken up by Bryson Snelling in the right corner of the end zone. Kaden Anderson's 5-yard scoring pass to Evan Svoboda, set up by a fumble recovery at the Nevada 21, late in the third quarter got the Cowboys within three points before McFadden kicked a 43-yard field goal midway through the fourth. McFadden also kicked a 41-yarder in the third. Jones' TD pass to Carpenter came with just over a minute left in the first half. Jones passed for 58 yards and rushed for 34. Caleb Ramseur rushed for 88 yards on 19 carries for Nevada (3-8, 2-5). Anderson was 22-of-39 for 157 yards. - Wyoming/AP College Football

  11/16/25 - Carter JonesFr/2029, Nevada, 6-3, 197 (DS#31 QB) + More +

Carter Jones threw for 195 yards and two touchdowns and Caleb Ramseur ran for 128 yards and a touchdown and Nevada was never challenged in a 55-10 win over San Jose State on Saturday. Jones completed 16 of 19 and Ramseur amassed his rushing total in 20 carries. It was the defensive side of the ball, however, that got the Wolfpack (2-8, 1-5 Mountain West) going when Nakian Jackson intercepted Walker Eget and ran it back 66 yards for the game's first score. It was the first of three interceptions for Eget. Three minutes later, Jones threw a 7-yard touchdown to Chubba Purdy for a two-touchdown lead. Nevada pushed the lead to 31-0 at halftime. Tama Amisone's 12-yard scoring run with 1:23 left in the game was the Spartans' (3-7, 2-4) only touchdown.   09/06/25 - Jonathan MaldonadorJr/2027, Nevada, 6-6, 233 (DS#54 DE) + More +

Jonathan Maldonado returned an interception 36 yards for a touchdown with 2:17 to play and Nevada defeated Sacramento State 20-17 on Saturday after the Hornets had touchdowns on consecutive plays in the last minute nullified by penalties before they missed a field goal. Sacramento State quickly marched from its 35 to the Nevada 3 with 29 seconds to go. On a third down, quarterback Cardell Williams scampered nine yards for the apparent go-ahead score but a holding penalty wiped that out.

Williams then threw a touchdown pass from the 19 that was wiped out by a penalty. The Hornets then ran a play to set up a 41-yard field goal attempt that Grant Meadors missed to the right. The Hornets had an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty after the miss as well. Nevada quarterback Chubba Purdy threw two interceptions but he rushed for 115 yards on 22 keepers and scored a touchdown. The Wolf Pack (1-1) rushed for 268 yards and Purdy threw for 144. Williams was 10-of-13 passing for 151 for Sacramento State (0-2), which finished with 372 yards. He threw a touchdown pass to Ernest Campbell and Rodney Hammond Jr. had a rushing score. - Nevada/AP College Football

He will be a sixth-year senior with one year of eligibility remaining.   01/12/23 - Spencer LovellrSr/2025, Nevada, 6-6, 332 (DS#127 OG) + More +

A pair of veteran transfers announced their plans to join the Kansas football program for the 2023 season on Sunday night. Offensive lineman Spencer Lovell, who played in 29 games at both Arizona State and started three games at Cal last season, and linebacker JB Brown, of Bowling Green, both said picking KU as their next stops was easy. Credit for that goes to the KU coaching staff, the current players and the family vibe that has become a big part of the Kansas football culture in the past couple of seasons.

Lovell, who has played both tackle and guard but projects as a guard at KU, was injured early on during the 2022 season and is still recovering from a lower body injury that knocked him out for most of the season. He told JayhawkSlant.com that getting stronger and back in shape along with finding the right fit as a program were key parts of this round of his recruitment. - Lawrence Journal World

Cobb tweeted Dec. 19 that he was entering the transfer portal and on Dec. 21 tweeted he received an offer from WVU. Cobb had joined Buffalo ahead of the 2022 season after playing previously at Northeast Mississippi Community College, where he was named an All-American by JCGridiron. - Charleston Gazette-Mail
