Kenji Bahar threw three touchdown passes and Monmouth blanked winless Presbyterian College, 45-0 in the Hawks' Big South Conference opener on Saturday afternoon. Monmouth has won four of six conference games with the Blue Hose, who will join the non-scholarship Pioneer Football League beginning next fall. Bahar connected with Lonnie Moore IV for a 1-yard touchdown on the final play of a 16-14 win over Wagner College last week, and the pair combined to cap the opening drive against Presbyterian, this time from 14-yards out.

Pete Guerriero ran 48-yards for a score and after Presbyterian fumbled at its own 2-yard line, Devell Jones punched in to make it 21-0 in the first quarter. Jones added a 5-yard touchdown in the second quarter and Bahar hit Shawn Clark from 36-yards out to make it 38-0 at intermission. Bahar hit Terrance Greene Jr. for a 20-yard touchdown early in the third quarter to complete the scoring. Bahar completed 16 of 23 passes for 233 yards while Guerriero carried 11 times for 81. Kenji Bahar directed a 12-play 71-yard last-chance drive, and Lonnie Moore IV scored the winning touchdown after he bounced off a defender before rolling into the end zone, lifting Monmouth to a 16-14 come-from behind win at Wagner Saturday night. Facing fourth-and-goal at the 1, Bahar, rolling to his right, threw a short slant to Moore, who caught it at the 5, caromed off a would-be tackler and rolled into the end zone with the game-winner with 23 seconds remaining.

The Hawks (3-2) had trailed ever since Wagner (1-5) scored early in the fourth to take a 14-10 lead. Bahar completed six of seven passes on the final drive, ran for a first down and survived a sack and a tackle for loss. He finished 25-for-38 for 216 yards. Moore caught seven passes for 77 yards; Zach Tredway caught nine for 74 yards. Monmouth gained 352 yards of offense to Wagner's 191. Matt Mosquera kicked a 28-yard field goal in overtime to lift Monmouth to its first win over Albany in eight tries, 38-35 in a non-conference battle between former league rivals Saturday afternoon. The Hawks' seven-game losing streak to the Great Danes dated to 2006. The game was just the second meeting between the teams as non-conference opponents after Albany left the Northeast Conference for the Colonial Athletic Association and Monmouth joined the Big South.

Already the Big South Special Teams Player of the Week after tying his career record with three field goals in a win over Lafayette, Mosquera kicked three more against Albany (1-2), connecting on kicks from 47- and 21-yards out in the second quarter. Pete Guerriero scored from 26-yards out in the first quarter, and after Terrance Green Jr. pulled in a pass from Kenji Bahar for a 39-yard touchdown and Bahar tossed to Zach Tredway for a two-point conversion, the Hawks (2-1) held a 21-0 lead with 5:33 left in the first half. Jeff Undercuffler brought Albany back with two touchdown passes to Juwan Green before halftime, hitting on a 64-yard bomb and a 28-yard strike that made it 21-14. Pete Guerriero ran for 152 yards and a touchdown, Devell Jones converted a key fourth down in the fourth quarter and Monmouth defeated Lafayette 24-21 on Saturday. Monmouth (1-1) rushed for 223 yards and allowed minus-12 rushing. Monmouth took a 21-7 lead with five seconds remaining in the first half when Kenji Bahar passed to Joey Aldarelli for a 10-yard touchdown. Lafayette (0-2) closed to within 21-14 on an 80-yard pass from Keegan Shoemaker to Nick Pearson, and within 24-21 on a 13-yard pass from Shoemaker to Julian Spigner with 5:34 remaining.

The Hawks then ran out the clock, a key play being Jones' 16-yard run on fourth-and-one. Shoemaker, a freshman making his first start, complete 20 of 32 passes for 256 yards with the two touchdowns and an interception. Pearson caught six passes for 118 yards. Guerriero opened the scoring with a 19-yard touchdown run in the first quarter and Matt Mosquera added two field goals for a 13-0 Monmouth lead in the middle of the second quarter. - AP College Football

Owen Wright ran for two touchdowns, William & Mary scored 24 points in the third quarter, and the Tribe defeated Lafayette 30-17 on Saturday in Mike London's debut as their coach. After Wright scored on a 4-yard run with a two-point conversion, William & Mary led 14-10 early in the third quarter. Lafayette fumbled on its next three possessions and the Tribe capitalized with another 16 points. Jake Johnston kicked a 21-yard field goal, Wright scored on an 11-yard run and quarterback Hollis Mathis added a 3-yard TD run. Mathis completed 6 of 13 passes for 66 yards and rushed for 127 yards on 16 carries. Wright gained 63 yards and the Tribe totaled 255 yards rushing among 418 total yards.

Lafayette freshman quarterback Keegan Shoemaker connected with John Gay on a 26-yard touchdown pass with 4:42 remaining in the game. Shoemaker passed for 127 yards, as did starting quarterback Cole Northrup, who was also the Leopards' leading rusher with 39 yards. London spent the past two seasons as head coach at Howard.
