  07/15/19 - Kelly BryantrSr/2020, Missouri, 6-3, 229 (DS#16 QB) + More +

There was a time when Kelly Bryant envisioned himself at Auburn. It was back in his hometown of Calhoun Falls, S.C., when he was playing at Wren High. The dual-threat quarterback who eventually committed to Clemson, where he spent his first three seasons, before ultimately transferring to Missouri this offseason, initially had his heart set on playing for Auburn and coach Gus Malzahn.

A three-star prospect coming out of high school in 2015, Bryant never got that official scholarship offer he coveted from the Tigers. That changed this offseason, when Bryant became one of the most coveted players on the transfer market following his departure from Clemson, where he was supplanted as starter by Trevor Lawrence, the freshman sensation who guided the team to the College Football Playoff national championship. "They weren't one of the first schools that contacted me; it was probably like three or four weeks after I announced," Bryant, now Missouri's starting quarterback, said Monday at SEC Media Days in Hoover. "That was one of the schools I wanted to go to out of high school." - Birmingham News
