  2019 ALL-GREAT LAKES VALLEY CONFERENCE FIRST TEAM (COACHES): Drew Seers, Jr., LB, LWU,...The third year linebacker had a big season for the Lions, posting one of the best seasons in Lindenwood history since former Lion Connor Harris. Seers currently ranks second in NCAA Division II with 14.0 tackles per game. The St. Louis, Mo. native racked up 5.6 solo tackles per game, ranking 15th in the country. Seers has compiled 154 tackles in 2019, standing just 30 tackles behind the Lindenwood single season record. The Parkway West product has tied his career-high of 12.5 tackles for loss this season, while registering three quarterback hurries. Seers tallied 20 tackles including 2.0 tackles for loss in a thrilling victory over Saginaw Valley. - Lindenwood Football

  2019 ALL-GREAT LAKES VALLEY CONFERENCE FIRST TEAM (COACHES): Cade Brister, So., QB, LWU,...A native of O'Fallon, Mo., Brister led the Lions offense to big numbers in 2019, helping the Lions end the regular season on a seven-game winning streak. Brister has thrown for 3,301 yards and 36 touchdown passes so far this year. The Fort Zumwalt North product added 445 yards on the ground and six more scores with his legs to reach record-book numbers. Brister currently holds three single season records from 2019, and is tied for the top spot in passing touchdowns (36), and most touchdowns responsible for (42). The sophomore quarterback ranks second in NCAA Division II with 25.18 completions per game, third in the nation with 36 passing touchdowns, and fifth in the country with 340.5 total yards of offense. Brister set the new school record with 541 passing yards against No. 8 UIndy, while tallying 554 total yards of offense. - Lindenwood Football

  2019 ALL-GREAT LAKES VALLEY CONFERENCE FIRST TEAM (COACHES): ERIK HENNEMAN, Sr., TE, LWU,...Even with the extra attention after an All-American season in 2018, Erik Henneman posted similar numbers while playing in one less contest. Henneman hauled in 52 passes for 573 yards and eight touchdowns this season. The 6-3 senior had one of the most impressive performances against Truman State, when he hauled in 11 passes for 64 yards and three touchdowns. A native of Gretna, La., Henneman was the only Lindenwood player to be unanimously selected as a first-team all-GLVC performer. - Lindenwood Football

  2019 ALL-GREAT LAKES VALLEY CONFERENCE FIRST TEAM (COACHES): Jaylen Flye-Sadler, Sr., OL, LWU,...First-team all-GLVC linemen Jaylen Flye-Sadler and Blake Rogenhofer, along with honorable-mention offensive lineman Evan Pumphrey provided protection for one of the most explosive offenses in the nation. The Lions currently rank sixth in NCAA Division II with 312.4 passing yards per game, while ranking 11th in the country with 262 first downs. The offensive line gave Brister time to set a new school record for passing yards in a game, against one of the nation's top defenses at the time in UIndy. - Lindenwood Football

  2019 AFCA DIVISION II COACHES' FIRST TEAM ALL-AMERICAN: LB Drew Seers, Jr., Lindenwood (Mo.),...The St. Louis, Mo. native racked up 175 tackles in 2019, just nine shy of Lindenwood record-holder Connor Harris. Seers set a new school mark with his 17.0 tackles for loss, bringing his career total to 34.0 through three seasons. The 6-1 junior tallied 99 assisted tackles this year, surpassing Harris in the record book by just one assisted tackle. Seers added two fumble recoveries, with two pass breakups in 2019. A product of Parkway West, Seers tallied a career-high 20 tackles against Saginaw Valley, earning one of his three GLVC Defensive Player of the Week honors. Seers was named GLVC Defensive Player of the Year, helping Lindenwood to a 9-4 record with its first appearance in the NCAA Division II Playoffs. - Lindenwood Football

  The Lindenwood football team (9-3) upset No. 5 Ouachita Baptist (11-1) in the first round of the playoffs by a final score of 41-38 on Saturday in Arkadelphia, Ark. On a third down, the Tigers connected on a 47-yard touchdown pass to take a 35-31 lead with 12:25 to go in the game. Spencer Redd made one of the biggest plays of the game on the ensuing kickoff. After being surrounded by multiple Tigers, Redd escaped the tacklers and took the ball 97-yards to the house to put the Lions up 38-35.

Ouachita Baptist marched down the field and had a first-and-goal at the six-yard line, but the Lions did not break. The Tigers were forced to kick a field goal with 6:02 in the game, leading to a 38-38 tie. Brister and the Lions put together a long drive that was kept alive with a key third-down snag by Henneman. Garner broke the tie with a clutch 30-yard field goal to make it a 41-38 lead with 1:24 remaining. On the second play of the ensuing drive, Jordan Perry made a great play on the ball to grab the game-winning interception, giving the Lions the 41-38 victory. QB Cade Brister was 28-for-36, 273 yards, 2 TD, 94 rush yards, 1 rush TD. - Lindenwood Football

  2019 GREAT LAKES VALLEY CONFERENCE OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR (COACHES): Cade Brister, So., QB, Lindenwood,...In his first season competing as a member of the GLVC, Brister ranks second in NCAA Division II in completions per game (25.18), third in passing touchdowns (36) and points responsible for (252), fifth in total offense (340.5), sixth in passing yards (3,301) and passing yards per game (300.1), and 16th in completion percentage (.632). A three-time GLVC Offensive Player of the Week honoree this season, Brister set multiple single-season school records this year. Among his highlights, the O'Fallon, Missouri native completed a school-record 38 of 59 pass attempts for a school-record 541 passing yards, while adding 13 rushing yards for a school-record 554 total yards in Lindenwood's 34-27 win over then-No. 8 Indianapolis on Nov. 2.

He set Lindenwood's single-season records for most yards gained (3,746), points responsible for, passing attempts (438), completions (277) and touchdown passes. The first-team All-GLVC quarterback piloted the Lions to the nation's sixth-best passing attack (312.4), which featured four additional first-team All-Conference honorees in senior Jaylen Flye-Sadler and sophomore Blake Rogenhofer in the trenches, senior tight end Erik Henneman, and sophomore wide receiver Payton Rose, who ranks sixth and 12th nationally with 15 receiving touchdowns and 1,075 receiving yards, respectively, on the year. - Great Lakes Valley Conference Football

The first-team All-GLVC linebacker is second in NCAA Division II with 14.0 tackles per game and is found three times on the nation's top-20 single-game tackle performances, having notched 20 stops against Saginaw Valley State, 19 against Quincy and 18 against Missouri S&T this season. Seers has totaled 154 tackles on the year, including 62 solo stops. His 92 assisted tackles are just six shy of the school record of 98, while his 12.5 tackles for loss are nearing the school mark of 15.0.
