  2019 PRESEASON BILETNIKOFF AWARD WATCH LIST: Gabriel Davis, UCF,...Davis comes into 2019 as UCF’s top returning receiver after earning Second Team All-Conference honors as a sophomore last year. Davis hauled in 53 receptions for 815 yards and scored seven touchdowns ad the Knights went 12-1 in 2018. The award recipient is selected by the highly distinguished Biletnikoff Award National Selection Committee, a group of prominent college football journalists, commentators, announcers, Biletnikoff Award winners, and other former receivers. Foundation trustees do not vote and have never voted. Receivers are frequently added to the watch list as their season performances dictate.   2019 PRESEASON DOAK WALKER AWARD CANDIDATE: Greg McCrae (Jr.), UCF,...McCrae led the Knights with 1,182 rushing yards as a sophomore in 2018, becoming the first Knight to rush for over 1,000 yards since 2013. His 8.9 yards per carry set a new UCF single-season record and ranked second in all of FBS. The recipient of the 2019 Doak Walker Award will be announced live on The Home Depot College Football Awards on Thursday, December 12 on ESPN. - Central Florida Football

  2019 PRESEASON DOAK WALKER AWARD CANDIDATE: Isaiah Bowser (So.), Northwestern,...Bowser burst on the scene midway through his rookie campaign in 2018 and finished the season with 866 rushing yards, the third most yards by a NU first year in program history. He ranked 12th in the country in rushing yards over the final seven games of the season and was key in the Wildcats earning their first Big Ten West Division title in program history. He rushed for 91.9 yards per game in Big Ten play and had four games with 100-plus rushing yards, including a season-high 166 versus Illinois.

The Sidney, Ohio, native is one of XX of Big Ten players represented on the initial list, including Reggie Corbin (Illinois), J.K. Dobbins (Ohio State), Mohamed Ibrahim (Minnesota), Anthony McFarland (Maryland), Mekhi Sargent (Iowa), Stevie Scott III (Indiana), Rodney Smith (Minnesota) and 2018 winner Jonathan Taylor (Wisconsin).   Central Florida has been picked to win the American Athletic Conference and face Memphis in the championship game for a third straight season. UCF is the top choice among media members to win the East Division and the league when the American released its preseason poll Tuesday at conference media day. The Knights received 19 of 30 first-place votes to win the East and 12 of 30 to win the conference. Memphis is favored to win the West Division over Houston. The Tigers received 15 first-place votes and 165 points. Houston, in its first season under coach Dana Holgorsen, had 14 and 162. - AP College Football
