South Florida Football   Ohio State, Penn State and LSU remained the top three teams in The Associated Press Top 25 college football poll Sunday, Oregon is back in the top five and South Florida is ranked for the first time in seven years. There was some movement inside the top 10, but the biggest changes came from Nos. 11 to 25. Ohio State, whose 70-0 win over Grambling was among a bevy of weekend blowouts, received 57 of the 65 first-place votes from the media panel. Penn State got five first-place votes and LSU two. No. 4 Oregon, which thrashed Oklahoma State, received the other first place-vote and flip-flopped with Georgia. The Bulldogs' uninspired win over FCS foe Austin Peay caused them to slip to No. 6 behind Miami.

Texas, Notre Dame, Illinois and Florida State round out the top 10, with the latter two teams in the top 10 for the first time this season. Oklahoma earned a five-rung promotion to No. 13, its highest ranking in two years, after its win over Michigan. The Wolverines dropped to No. 23. Tennessee jumped seven spots to No. 15, and No. 16 Texas A&M and No. 17 each moved up three. The biggest upward mover was No. 18 South Florida, which was eight spots out of the Top 25 last week. The Bulls pulled the upset of the day with their 18-16 win over then-No. 13 Florida. That followed their 34-7 home win over then-No. 25 Boise State. - AP College Football

Arizona Football   Noah Fifita threw for 373 yards and five touchdowns in less than three quarters, Javin Whatley caught two touchdowns and Arizona rolled to a weather-delayed 48-3 win over Weber State on Saturday night. Lightning led to a delay of more than two hours, but it did little to slow down Arizona (2-0) against the FCS Wildcats (0-2). Arizona raced out to a 24-0 first-quarter lead, pushed it to 34-0 by halftime and racked up 556 total yards. Its defense had a second straight dominating game, holding Weber State to 184 total yards while forcing two turnovers, including a 27-yard interception return for a touchdown by Jay'Vion Cole. "Staying mission focused, that was the main thing for us in the locker room," Arizona linebacker Max Harris said of the delay. "Adversity's going to hit, it's going to come in different ways and just stay mission focused." Offensive coordinator Seth Doege wanted Arizona to sharpen up its passing game after last week's 40-6 win over Hawaii and Fifita responded with a highly-efficient performance. The third-year starter completed his first 14 passes and finished 17 for 22 after throwing for 161 yards on 13-of-23 passing last week. He connected with Whatley five times for 168 yards. Fifita hit Whatley on a 31-yard TD pass on Arizona's opening drive and found him again on its next play from scrimmage for an 85-yard score. Fifita connected with Tre Spivey on a 10-yard touchdown late in the first quarter and added a 13-yard scoring pass to Brandon Phelps in the second. Arizona didn't let up until late. Ismail Mahdi opened the second half by turning a third-and-22 screen pass into a 27-yard touchdown and Cole's pick-6 made it 48-0. - Arizona/AP College Football

Alabama Football   No. 21 Alabama will be without defensive lineman Jeremiah Beaman for the rest of his season after he sustained a lower-body injury in practice Wednesday. Coach Kalen DeBoer announced Beaman's status on his weekly radio show. Beaman started last week's season opener at Florida State and logged a quarterback hurry. Beaman was starting in place of fourth-year junior Tim Keenan, who remains sidelined with a lower-body injury. "Tim Keenan will not be available this week, but he's doing really well and making the progress that we would expect," DeBoer said. "This is not a long-term injury for him." Without Beaman and Keenan, the Crimson Tide will turn to sophomore Edric Hill and freshmen Isaia Faga and London Simmons to increase their workload against Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday. - AP College football

Missouri Football   Missouri will be without backup quarterback Sam Horn for "an extended period of time" because of an injury, Tigers coach Eli Drinkwitz said Tuesday, and kicker Blake Craig will miss the rest of the season after tearing an ACL. Horn had been in a competition with Penn State transfer Beau Pribula to be the starting quarterback, and both were expected to play in last week's opener against Central Arkansas. But Horn injured his right leg in the first quarter on a designed run, and that left Pribula to play most of the way in a 61-6 rout of the Bears.

Pribula was 23 of 28 for 283 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran 10 times for 65 yards and two more scores. "Beau's going to be Beau. You can't control injuries," Drinkwitz said. "You can't be afraid of them." Horn missed all of last season while recovering from Tommy John surgery. An accomplished pitcher, he was selected in the 17th round of the first-year player draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers. Horn signed a contract with them in July. Freshman quarterback Matt Zollers is expected to back up Pribula beginning Saturday, when the Tigers renew the Border War against old Big 12 rival Kansas. Former walk-on Brett Brown also was added back to the roster to provide some QB depth. - AP College football
