Georgia Tech Football   Despite not having starting quarterback Haynes King, Georgia Tech was far too much for Gardner-Webb. The Yellow Jackets cruised to a 59-12 victory over the Runnin' Bulldogs on their home opener at Bobby Dodd Stadium. King went through full warm-ups, but was ruled out just before kick-off with a "nagging lower body injury" per a Georgia Tech spokesperson. Backup Aaron Philo made his first career start and struggled early, turning the ball over on Georgia Tech's first two possessions. But a strong offensive line performance and the rushing attack from the duo of Jamal Haynes and Malachi Hosley helped him settle in. The Yellow Jackets (2-0) scored 42 unanswered points and gained 680 total yards after Gardner-Webb (1-1) briefly led 6-0. - Georgia Tech/AP College Football

Georgia Football   Georgia failed to gain momentum for next week's Southeastern Conference opener at Tennessee as the fourth-ranked Bulldogs stumbled on offense in Saturday's weather-delayed 28-6 win over Austin Peay. Chauncey Bowens and Nate Frazier each ran for two touchdowns. Frazier and wide receiver London Humphreys lost fumbles, but Georgia (2-0) made a fourth-down goal-line stop to set up a 99-yard touchdown drive in the fourth quarter.

Gunner Stockton, who passed for two touchdowns and ran for two scores in a 45-7 opening win over Marshall, leaned on the Bulldogs' running game against the Governors (1-1). He threw for 227 yards without a turnover. Lightning delayed the start of the second half for 1 hour, 46 minutes. The opening kickoff was moved up by an hour due to the ominous forecast. Georgia backup tight end Ethan Barbour was carted off the field with a lower left leg injury at the end of the first half. - Georgia/AP College Football

Oregon Football   Dante Moore threw for 266 yards and three touchdowns, freshman Dakorien Moore ran for a score and caught a touchdown pass, and No. 6 Oregon routed Oklahoma State 69-3 on Saturday. The loss was the biggest loss for the Cowboys (1-1) in Mike Gundy's 20-year tenure as coach. Nine players scored for Oregon (2-0), which had 631 yards in total offense. The Ducks had two interception returns for touchdowns in the third quarter. On Oregon's second play of the game, Noah Whittington took off for a 59-yard TD run to give the Ducks a 7-0 lead. It was the longest run of his career. Dakorien Moore caught a deep 65-yard pass from Dante Moore on the Ducks' second drive. Dierre Hill Jr. added a 19-yard touchdown run before Logan Ward kicked a 23-yard field goal for the Cowboys' only points.

Dante Moore hit Malik Benson with a 42-yard pass, Dakorien Moore rushed 25 yards for another score, and Jayden Limar added a 5-yard TD run to make it 41-3 at halftime. Gary Bryant Jr. caught an 11 yard touchdown pass and Jordon Davison ran a yard for another score to put the Ducks up 55-3. Oregon had back-to-back interception returns for touchdowns in the third quarter: Jerry Mixon scored on a 26-yard return and Peyton Woodyard scored on a 30-yard return. Oklahoma State starting quarterback Hauss Hejny broke a bone in his foot in the team's opener, so Zane Flores, a third-year freshman, made his first career start against Oregon. Flores finished 7 of 19 for 67 yards and two interceptions. - Oregon/AP College Football

Idaho Football   Joshua Wood threw three touchdown passes before running for a 59-yard score late in the fourth quarter to help Idaho beat St. Thomas-Minnesota 37-30 on Saturday. Wood hit Jake Cox for a 4-yard score with 3:03 left in the second quarter and then connected with Tony Harste for a 21-yard touchdown with 16 seconds left as Idaho (1-1) turned a three-point deficit into a 23-13 lead at halftime.

Wood fired a 42-yard scoring strike to Ryan Jezioro 8 seconds into the fourth quarter to put the Vandals up 29-16. Wood's long TD run came with 2:19 remaining after St. Thomas (1-1) had pulled within 29-23. Wood completed 20 of 25 passes for 281 yards and rushed five times for 96 yards. Rocco Koch had a short touchdown run. Andy Peters totaled 264 yards on 21-of-29 passing with three touchdowns for the Tommies. He also rushed for 94 yards on 11 carries.   Fresno State Football   Dylan Lynch made three fourth-quarter field goals including a 43-yarder with 29 seconds left to help lift Fresno State past Oregon State 36-27 on Saturday. Oregon State (0-2) regained the lead when Maalik Murphy threw his fourth touchdown pass, a 34-yard score to David Wells Jr., but Murphy's pass failed on the two-point conversion to make it 27-26 with 1:19 to play. Jakari Embry then picked off a Murphy pass and ran untouched 45 yards into the end zone for the Bulldogs to seal it.

E.J. Warner completed 13 of 18 passes for 121 yards and added 57 yards rushing with a 30-yard touchdown run in the first quarter for Fresno State (2-1). Rayshon Luke added 86 yards on the ground that included a 44-yard TD. Lynch also connected from 34 and 28 yards. Murphy was 31-of-48 passing for 371 yards for Oregon State. Taz Reddicks made 11 catches for 158 yards to lead 11 receivers with at least one reception. Anthony Hankerson added 136 yards rushing on 25 carries. The Beavers outgained Fresno State 528-318 in total yardage but were 0 for 4 on two-point conversion attempts. - Fresno State/AP College Football

Missouri Football   Beau Pribula threw for 334 yards and three touchdowns, Jamal Roberts ran for 143 yards and the clinching score, and Missouri rallied to beat Kansas 42-31 on Saturday in the first edition of the Border War in more than a decade. Kevin Coleman Jr. had 10 catches for 126 yards and a touchdown, and Brett Norfleet's second TD grab gave the Tigers (2-0) the lead with 4:14 to go, before their defense stopped Jalon Daniels and Co. and allowed Missouri to put the game away. The series, which began in 1891 and remains among the most-played in Division I football, had been on hiatus since 2011, when Missouri left the Big 12 for the SEC. That move only added another layer of animosity to a rivalry between states that traces its history to the Civil War, and the bloody conflict between slave states and free states.

Daniels did his best to lead the Jayhawks (2-1) to victory. He threw for 223 yards and two touchdowns, including one to DeShawn Hanika that gave them a 31-24 lead with 8:45 remaining - a lead that the Kansas defense was unable to hold. Missouri dealt the first blow on Ahmad Hardy's 32-yard run. But the Jayhawks countered with a long TD drive, then returned a fumble 28 yards for another score. Moments later, Daniels silenced sold-out Faurot Field with a sneak for a 21-6 lead. The Tigers recovered from that quick blitz in the second quarter, though. They allowed Kansas to run just four plays for minus-18 yards, and Pribula's touchdown pass to Coleman - coupled with a safety and two field goals - resulted in a tied score. Kansas became the first FBS team in a decade to get outgained by 200-plus yards and not trail at the break. - Missouri/AP College Football

Cincinnati Football   Cincinnati quarterback Brendan Sorsby threw for three touchdowns and ran for another as the Bearcats posted a 34-20 win over the Falcons and former NFL running back and Ohio State Heisman Trophy winner Eddie George, who took his first loss as an FBS coach. George, the 1995 Heisman winner with Ohio State, took over as head coach at Bowling Green (1-1) this season after four years leading FCS Tennessee State. He brought his team and social media sensation Pudge the Cat, the Bowling Green mascot, into Nippert Stadium to face the Bearcats (1-1), who led all the way after Sorsby's 44-yard TD pass to Cyrus Allen.

Bearcats coach Scott Satterfield used a short passing game through three quarters until Sorsby rushed the last 27 yards late in the third to lead 31-10. Sorsby threw for 333 yards. George elected to punt for field position twice in the first half rather than take a risk on fourth-and-short.. The Falcons punted on fourth-and-1 from the Bowling Green 47 in the first quarter and again from the Cincinnati 41 in the second quarter on fourth-and-3. That second time backfired as Cincinnati drove 89 yards to score its third touchdown and take a 21-0 lead on Sorsby's 9-yard toss to Jeff Caldwell. Sorsby connected with Allen for 44- and 2-yard touchdowns for the Bearcats' first two scores. - Cincinnati/AP College Football

Ohio Football   Parker Navarro threw one touchdown pass and Ohio overcame his three interceptions and held on to beat West Virginia 17-10 on Saturday. Ohio (1-1) of the Mid-American Conference beat a Big 12 opponent for the second time in three years. West Virginia (1-1) lost preseason all-Big 12 running back Jahiem White to a second-quarter injury and never recovered. Navarro maintained long drives with his scrambling and, more importantly, kept the Mountaineers' offense off the field. Ohio managed a total of three points on two straight drives inside the West Virginia 20 before Navarro started picking apart the Mountaineer defense. The Bobcats scored two touchdowns in the final three minutes of the first half. Navarro's 15-yard scramble set up Sieh Bangura's 1-yard TD run and, after West Virginia punted, Navarro hit Chase Hendricks with a 31-yard scoring pass for a 17-7 halftime lead.

Hendricks finished with eight catches for 121 yards. Navarro threw three second-half interceptions but West Virginia couldn't capitalize and punted each time. Navarro completed 22 of 31 passes for 247 yards and ran 18 times for 87 yards. The Mountaineers had plenty of opportunities in Rich Rodriguez's first road test since he returned for his second stint as their coach, but they managed just a field goal over the final three quarters. Texas A&M transfer Jaylen Henderson replaced starter Nicco Marchiol for two series in the second half without success before Marchiol returned. Marchiol's arm was hit as he tried to pass and Ohio's Cam Hollobaugh made the interception near midfield with 3:13 remaining. West Virginia got the ball back on downs at its 27 with 17 seconds left but couldn't make it past midfield. Marchiol finished 15 of 26 for 178 yards. - Ohio/AP College Football

Wisconsin Football   Danny O'Neil went 23 of 27 for 283 yards with three touchdown passes in his first start for Wisconsin as the Badgers pulled away in the second half to beat Middle Tennessee 42-10 on Saturday. O'Neil was starting because Billy Edwards Jr. sprained his knee in a 17-0 victory over Miami (Ohio) last week. O'Neil, who started 11 games for San Diego State last season, had taken over after Edwards got hurt early in the second quarter of last week's game. He was intercepted once and threw touchdown compeltions of 3 yards to Tyrell Henry, 58 yards to Jayden Ballard and 17 yards to Lance Mason, who had seven catches for 102 yards. Henry's touchdown came on fourth-and-goal and put Wisconsin ahead for good in the second quarter.

Middle Tennessee (0-2) kept this game close for 2 1/2 quarters after opening its season with a 34-14 loss to Championship Subdivision program Austin Peay, which hadn't beaten a Bowl Subdivision team since 1987. The Blue Raiders trailed 14-10 midway through the third quarter when Jekail Middleton ran for what was initially ruled to be a first down at Wisconsin's 23. After replays determined Middleton actually went down short of the marker, he got the ball again on fourth down and was stuffed by Christian Alliegro at the 25. Wisconsin (2-0) then scored touchdowns on four straight drives to put the game away. - Wisconsin/AP College Football

Wyoming Football   Kaden Anderson was 17-of-23 passing for 167 yards and two touchdowns and Wyoming beat Northern Iowa 31-7 on Saturday. Sam Scott opened the scoring with an 18-yard touchdown run and Samuel Harris also ran for an 18-yard TD that capped the scoring with 7:12 to play. Terron Kellman had 87 yards rushing on seven carries for Wyoming (2-0). Harris ran for 61 yards and Scott added 58 yards rushing. Hyson Bey-Buie scored on a 2-yard run that capped an 11-play, 90-yard drive by Northern Iowa (1-1) and made it 7-7 midway through the second quarter.

Anderson threw a 6-yard TD pass to John Michael Gyllenborg in the second quarter and hit Chris Durr for a 21-yard TD in the third. Jaden DaCosta blocked a punt that was recovered by Bricen Brantley at the UNI 35 with 26 seconds left in the second quarter and Erik Sandvik kicked a 40-yard field goal as time expired to make it 17-7 at halftime. Anderson left the game in the fourth quarter after a hard hit by defense back Jonathan Cabral-Martin, who came unblocked off the edge. Junior college transfer Landon Sims replaced Anderson and was 3-of-3 passing for 23 yards in his debut for the Cowboys. - Wyoming/AP College Football

Texas State Football   Brad Jackson threw for 286 yards and Beau Sparks caught five passes for 155 yards as Texas State took down UTSA, 43-36 on Saturday. The game featured six lead changes, one tie and 951 yards of total offense, with Sparks' 65-yard touchdown reception on the first Texas State play of the fourth giving the Bobcats (2-0) the lead for good. Sparks also took the first play of the second quarter 73 yards, but was brought down at the UTSA 11. Robert Henry led off the second half with a 75-yard touchdown run, his second score of the day. Henry totaled 159 yards rushing on 17 carries.

The Texas State defense forced three straight incompletions on UTSA's final drive for a turnover on downs. Ryan Nolan racked up 11 tackles and Kenard Snyder had the lone sack for the Bobcats. Owen McCown completed 23 of 43 passes for 219 yards and two touchdowns for the Roadrunners, who start 0-2 for the first time since 2018.   North Texas Football   Makenzie McGill II scored on a 3-yard run in overtime, giving him 102 yards and North Texas a 33-30 win over Western Michigan on Saturday. After the Broncos kicked a long field goal to start overtime, the Mean Green took advantage of two penalties that set up the winning first-and-goal run for McGill. That was the only time North Texas, despite gaining 100 yards more than Western Michigan, was in the lead. Both penalties, pass interference and unsportsmanlike conduct, were on Jarvarius Sims.

Drew Mestemaker was 18-of-33 passing for 224 yards for North Texas (2-0). He guided a pair of nine-play drives in the fourth quarter to force overtime. His 4-yard pass to Cameron Dormer ended a 65-yard drive that cut the deficit to 27-24 with 10:03 left in regulation. The Mean Green then went 68 yards for the tying field goal with 1:35 remaining. Brock Lowry passed for one touchdown and ran for two for the Broncos (0-2). Jalen Buckley ran for 112 yards and added a 17-yard scoring reception from Lowry. The game was halted shortly before 4 p.m. local time with under 10 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter due to lightning in the area, and did not resume until 6:15 p.m. Dunneman's TD gave the Hoyas (2-0) their first lead of the game about 4 1/2 minutes into the second half, and Thomas' long run made it 24-17 with 3:28 left in the third quarter. Georgetown has won its first two games for the third straight season.

Colorado Football   Third-stringer Ryan Staub threw two touchdown passes and starter Kaidon Salter ran for another as Colorado rotated quarterbacks, including highly touted freshman Julian Lewis, in a 31-7 win over Delaware on Saturday. Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders gave each quarterback two series to see what they could do. From there, he began riding the hot hand of Staub, who threw one touchdown pass just before halftime and another right after the break. Salter did his part, too, by leading Colorado (1-1) to a 10-0 lead. Lewis had the team on the move in the first drive of his college career but produced no points. The QB breakdown shook out like this: Staub led the team on four drives, producing 21 points. Salter also got four drives, scoring on a 9-yard TD run, but went nearly two hours between his opening two series and taking the field again. The 17-year-old Lewis received three series, including one to close out the game.

The Buffaloes bounced back from a 27-20 loss to Georgia Tech behind an offense that accumulated 398 total yards and a defense which forced two turnovers along with stopping Delaware twice on downs. The Buffaloes also blocked a punt. Delaware (1-1) entered as a 24 1/2-point underdog and was within 10-7 before Staub went to work. He found DeKalon Taylor for a 21-yard TD with 9 seconds left before halftime. Staub then found Sincere Brown for a 71-yard connection moments into the second half to make it 24-7. Staub knows the offense inside and out after serving as a backup to Shedeur Sanders for the past two seasons. He was 7 of 10 for 157 yards and two scores. Salter was 13 of 16 for 102 yards, along with 25 yards rushing. Lewis went 2 of 4 for 8 yards. Brown had four catches for 120 yards. Nick Minicucci threw for 312 yards and a touchdown for Delaware. He also had an interception. - AP College Football
