The injury was to Tylan Wallace's knee, but the pain rippled throughout Cowboy country Friday afternoon. Wallace, Oklahoma State's star receiver and one of the faces of the program, got the news Friday that he had suffered a torn ACL, a source told The Oklahoman. Wallace suffered the injury in a non-contact situation at practice Wednesday and underwent an MRI Thursday that did not reveal the extent of the injury. Further testing Friday morning provided the answer no one in orange wanted to hear.

Wallace's season - and maybe his OSU career, but more on that later - is over. OSU athletic representatives declined to comment on the injury, which is congruent with program policy. Through eight games, the 6-foot, 185-pound junior had 903 yards and eight touchdowns on 53 receptions, a strong follow-up to his sophomore season in which he was a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award. - The Oklahoman
