Ohio State football may have some veteran bodies back on defense for Saturday's Homecoming game against Rutgers. Buckeyes coach Ryan Day said Thursday that cornerback Denzel Burke is "ready to roll this week and we're excited to see him back on the field." Burke did not play against Wisconsin due to a right hand injury. Day said last Saturday's game was "too close to when it occurred" for Burke to play with the injury. The 2021 Freshman All-American warmed up prior to the game with the right hand wrapped heavily - similar to the protection cornerback Damon Arnette Jr. played with throughout the 2019 season. "It may be something we have to keep an eye on here for the remainder of the season and protect it," Day said. Day said Burke, who had started his first 16 games as a Buckeye before missing last week, "had a good week of practice." - Cleveland Plain Dealer
