Based on recent interviews, offensive guard Beaux Limmer and defensive tackle Terry Hampton probably pump the most iron in the weight room for the University of Arkansas. Coach Sam Pittman recently described the 6-5, 300-pound Limmer as "a freakish-type guy," while teammates and defensive line coach Deke Adams talked about the 6-1, 314-pound Hampton as a weight room warrior. "I'm going to tell you, Terry Hampton, I think he eats the weights in the weight room," Adams said. "I mean, he is as strong as I' ve ever seen." Hampton, an El Dorado native, transferred to the Razorbacks after four seasons at Arkansas State. "He can have a guy in position and hip-toss him in a heartbeat," Adams said. "He's very, very strong and explosive in his movements...He'd pr obably be the one that gives [Limmer] a run for his money."Offensive linemen Brady Latham and Luke Jones said the strength coaches have to cut Limmer off from maxing out on his lifts some times. "They're really high, and the thing is, the crazy pa rt is that we don't really know how high, because usually they're like, 'All right Beaux, you've gone high enough, like, we don't need you to go anymore," Latham said of Limmer's personal bests. "I've never seen Beaux fail on a weight. So, like, you name it, he could probably throw it up there." Jones and Latham suggested Limmer, a junior from Tyler, Texas, could put up 600 pounds on the bench and possibly 700 pounds on the squat. - Northwest Arkansas Times
