  SEPT 13 BIG SOUTH OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Charleston Southern wide receiver Garris Schwarting (Bamberg, S.C.) caught six passes for 151 yards and four touchdowns - tying the Big South single-game record, and threw a 6-yard TD to account for all five of CSU's touchdowns in the Buccaneers' 38-21 season-opening win at The Citadel. He sparked a 21-0 first quarter lead first with a 23-yard TD catch, followed by his touchdown pass and lastly with a 27-yard touchdown grab. Schwarting scored on a 69-yard pass play in the third period, and capped the game's scoring with a 24-yard touchdown reception with 5:08 remaining in the game. He was named the CFPA FCS National Performer of the Week Sunday for his effort. Also nominated for Offensive Player of the Week: Caleb Snead (Campbell) and Juwon Farri (Monmouth). - Big South Football
