  2019 ALL-GNAC FOOTBALL FIRST TEAM (COACHES): Michael Roots, Central Washington, RB, Jr., Sacramento, Calif. (Southern Oregon Univ.),...Roots was once again named First Team All-GNAC. He led the GNAC in total rush yards (1,515), rushing touchdowns (14), yards per carry (6.9), rush yards per game (137.7), and rush attempts (219). He ranks third in Division II in total rush yards, seventh in rush yards per game, is tied in rushing touchdowns, and 14th in rush yards per carry. Roots led the GNAC and ranked 5th in Division II in all-purpose yards per game at 172.82 during the regular season. His 1,901 total all-purpose yards is third in Division II. He rushed for a career-high 221 yards in the win against Simon Fraser on Oct. 26 and eclipsed 100-plus yards in eight games, including two games of 200-plus yards rushing.   OCT 28 GNAC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Michael Roots (Central Washington, RB, 5-10, Jr., Sacramento, Calif., Southern Oregon Univ.): Roots carried 14 times for a GNAC season-high of 221 yards and three touchdowns in Central Washington's 62-10 win over Simon Fraser. He also caught two passes for 16 yards to finish with 237 all-purpose yards. In the process, Roots surpassed 2,000 rushing yards for his CWU career, making him the 15th in GNAC history to cross that plateau.   NOV 4 GNAC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Michael Roots (Central Washington, RB, 5-10, Jr., Sacramento, Calif., Southern Oregon Univ.),...Roots earned the offensive honor for the second consecutive week after he rushed for 196 yards on 22 carries and finished with 245 all-purpose yards in the Wildcats' 27-24 win at Azusa Pacific. Roots rushed for one touchdown on a six-yard run in the first quarter and also caught two passes for 23 yards and returned one kick for 26 yards.
