Air Force left tackle Parker Ferguson signed as an undrafted free agent with the New York Jets on Saturday evening. Ferguson, a three-year starter for the Falcons from Greenwood, Ind., participated in the Hula Bowl in January following a first-team All-Mountain West senior season. At Air Force's pro day in March, Ferguson measured 6-foot-3.6, 306 pounds and posted a 31-inch vertical leap and ran a 5.19 40-yard dash. He also performed 24 repetitions of 225 pounds in the bench press. Ferguson becomes the second former Falcon with the Jets, joining cornerback Zane Lewis, who spent the 2020 season on the practice squad. Former Air Force assistant coach Jake Moreland is on the Jets staff as the assistant offensive line coach and former Falcons assistant Chip Vaughn coaches the Jets defensive secondary. - Colorado Springs Gazette

Air Force senior Parker Ferguson has been selected to play in the Hula Bowl in Honolulu, Hawaii, January 31 in Aloha Stadium. Ferguson is the first Air Force offensive lineman selected for the game since Ross Weaver in 2005. This season marks the second straight the Falcons have had a player selected for the all-star game, as Mosese Fifita played in last year's game. Ferguson was a first-team all-Mountain West selection this season. He was also named to the Outland Trophy Watch List while helping to anchor an offensive line that earned mid-season watch list honors for the Joe Moore Award, given annual to the nation's best offensive line. - Air Force Football

Air Force's offensive line was among 22 in the nation to earn a spot on the midseason honor roll from the Joe Moore Award. Army and San Diego State were also included on the honor roll, as was the line from No. 1 Alabama. Air Force leads the nation in rushing yards at 336.5 yards per game. The award's committee said the Falcons "have found a way to lead the country in rushing under extremely challenging conditions and injuries to key players. Tough and physical at point of attack and look to finish whenever they can. Play with tight bases and run off the football and accelerate on contact. People movers. Scrappy. Well coached triple team that runs a fair amount of outside zone, power, lead, and it's all fun to watch." - Colorado Springs Gazette
