 Jaiave Magalei, Louisiana, Player News

Jaiave Magalei, UL starting quarterback Levi Lewis' sparingly used backup the past two seasons, has entered the NCAA transfer portal, the USA TODAY Network confirmed Thursday. Also in the portal is Jack outside linebacker Joe Dillon, who finished his six-season Ragin' Cajuns career 1.5 sacks shy of UL's all-time record. Magalei's move comes a few weeks after Lewis, a senior who started the past two seasons, made public his plans to remain for 2021. Magalei - a juco transfer from California's Mt. San Antonio College who played at Lakes High near Tacoma, Washington - was 20 of 28 for 224 passes and one touchdown in 2019. - Daily Advertiser
