Western Kentucky has added two more pieces to next year's team. The Hilltoppers announced Tuesday the signing of defensive end Michael Pitts, and also got a commitment from defensive back Daewood Davis the same day, after already signing eight to next ye ar's class. Pitts comes from Cincinnati, where he spent five years and played in 38 games total and started 22. The 6-foot-4, 250-pound Stone Mountain, Ga., native recorded 77 total tackles, including 17.5 for loss with 9.5 sacks, for the Bearcats. - BG Daily News

University of Cincinnati Bearcats defensive lineman Michael Pitts entered the transfer portal, according to multiple reports Saturday morning. The senior from Stone Mountain, Georgia, has seen his playing time decrease during this season. He had 10 total tackles in the five games in which he appeared - including seven tackles and a forced fumble in UC's win against Army on Sept. 26. He played in 13 games - making eight starts - during the 2019 season, and started 13 games at jack end during the 2018 sea son. He totaled 9.5 sacks over those two seasons. - Cincinnati Enquirer
