The last time we saw Landon Dickerson on the football field, he was three weeks removed from season-ending knee surgery and finagled his way into Alabama's national championship win over Ohio State. On Thursday, the former Alabama center told GMFB on the NFL Network all things point to a full recovery prior to the start of what will be his rookie NFL season. "I'm doing phenomenal when it comes to recovery," he said. "I'm right on track with where I need to be. We feel comfortable. The medical staff, the training staff, we feel very comfortable that I should be ready this coming season." Dickerson was carted off the field during the SEC Championship Game on Dec. 19. - Birmingham News

Landon Dickerson will not take advantage of the NCAA's COVID-19 eligibility waiver, electing to enter the 2021 NFL Draft and leaving Alabama with a void to fill at center. The Rimington Trophy winner suffered a knee injury in the SEC Championship Game that kept him out of both of UA's College Football Playoff games, ending his season and UA career two games premature. Before that injury, Dickerson started every game at UA since transferring in from Florida State. - Birmingham News

When all eyes in Hard Rock Stadium were trained pregame Monday night on Jaylen Waddle's right ankle, out of the tunnel trotted a No. 69 in a crimson uniform. About an hour before kickoff of the national championship game, Landon Dickerson was not only wearing his game jersey, but was fully dressed and ready to play with all his usual athletic tape and braces. The only problem: Dickerson was only about three weeks removed from season-ending knee surgery.

The center had no chance of playing against Ohio State - or in any competitive football game for several months - but wanted to close his college career as more than a spectator. Dickerson had been carted off the field of the SEC championship game Dec. 19, marking the fourth time his five-year college career has been cut short by an injury. After three seasons at Florida State and two at Alabama, Monday night was his first opportunity to play in a championship game - and he was not going to miss it. - Birmingham News

2020 OUTLAND TROPHY SEMIFINALIST: Landon Dickerson, C, Alabama (6-6, 325, Sr., Hickory, N.C.): Dickerson, a Florida State transfer, has made the most of his only season calling the blocking assignments up front for the Crimson Tide. Alabama is third nationally in scoring at 49.2 points per game - tops among schools playing five of more games - and has averaged 548.3 yards per game (4th nationally) while topping 500 yards in six of nine games. Setting things up front each play, Dickerson has helped Alabama establish national leaders at all three skill positions. The Crimson Tide claims two of the last four Outland winners, one on each side of the ball. Quinnen Williams, a defensive tackle, won in 2018, and offensive tackle Cam Robinson won the 2016 award. Alabama has not had a center win the Outland but Barrett Jones was a finalist in 2012 after winning the Outland as an offensive tackle in 2011, and center Ryan Kelly was a semifinalist in 2015. Alabama's five Outland winners are tied with Oklahoma for the second-most all-time (Nebraska, 9). - Greater Omaha Sports Committee

Alabama football offensive lineman Landon Dickerson is quite the personality, and he showed it Saturday against LSU. Dickerson had a dance to point out that LSU defensive lineman Jaquelin Roy committed encroachment. CBS broadcaster Gary Danielson called Dickerson "a physical character." CBS play-by-play broadcaster Brad Nessler said Dickerson is "feisty." And in the fourth quarter, Dickerson flopped backward when LSU defensive end Neil Farrell Jr. approached him and their facemasks tapped. Dickerson received abundant adoration on social media. - Montgomery Advertiser

In the age of graduate transfers, Landon Dickerson is the second to leave Florida State for Alabama. Jake Coker did it first after winning a title in Tallahassee as a backup, then another as a starter in Tuscaloosa. As an offensive lineman, Dickerson's arrival didn't come with quite the public fanfare, but he's already competing for a prominent role in a positional group with strong talent returning. Asked about his progress in the two weeks since joining the program, Saban on Thursday added another level of significance to Dickerson's addition. "I think he has a unique perspective coming from someplace that maybe," Saban said, pausing for a moment, searching for the right way to word it. "...the players didn't have it quite as good as they have it around here. And I hope our players really understand what they have, the opportunities that they have and that their focus is really in the right place, which is on our team being good."

Dickerson was the starting left guard for Florida State when it opened the 2017 season with a 24-7 loss to Alabama. Dickerson has been with the first team at center the last few practices after getting some time at guard. He was a starter at times in all of his three FSU seasons, though injuries took him off the field in each of those years. He got a medical redshirt in 2018 giving him two seasons of eligibility remaining. - Birmingham News

Up until the final hours before Alabama begins preseason practice, the Crimson Tide's roster was being amended. The latest addition to the roll is offensive lineman Landon Dickerson, the graduate transfer from Florida State. Dickerson, a guard and tackle, committed to Alabama in June and will wear the same number he donned during his run with the Seminoles — 69. Once a major prospect, Dickerson became the first true freshman offensive lineman to start a home opener for Florida State since 1982. He then suffered a torn ACL in 2016 and missed all but six games the next two years as his body repeatedly betrayed him. - AL.com
