  Javon Gipson caught a go-ahead touchdown pass late in the fourth quarter, Brandon Perez kicked three field goals, and Kaghen Roach was involved in three sacks to lead Abilene Christian past Eastern Kentucky 17-10 on Saturday. After Perez kicked his third of the day to tie the game at 10 apiece, Chris Wright strip-sacked Myles Burkett and Roach fell on the ball. Three plays later, Stone Earle found Gipson for a 6-yard, go-ahead strike with 4:08 remaining. Earle hit Jed Castles for a successful two-point conversion.

Gipson led the Wildcats (FCS No. 20, 7-4, 6-1 United Athletic) with 100 yards on six catches. Earle was 23-of-41 passing for 226 yards. Roach led a six-sack day for the Wildcats defense, netting 2.5 for himself, along with two quarterback hurries. Burkett was 10 of 20 for 165 yards for the Colonels (4-7, 2-5 UAC). Their offense was held to 165 total yards with just 10 on the ground. Their scores came from a fumble and a turnover on downs.   Brandon Perez made a 47-yard field goal as time expired and Abilene Christian avoided collapse with a 31-28 win over United Athletic Conference foe Tarleton State on Saturday night. Stone Earle threw for 202 yards and a touchdown and ran for another as Abilene Christian handed Tarleton State, ranked second in the FCS coaches' poll, its first loss of the season. Rovaughn Banks Jr. ran for 83 yards on 10 carries with two touchdowns and E.J. Wilson had 105 yards running on 10 carries for the Wildcats (5-4, 4-1). Victor Gabalis completed 25 of 46 passes for 361 yards and two touchdowns for the Texans (9-1, 5-1). Cody Jackson caught seven passes for 134 yards and a touchdown for Tarleton State.

Abilene Christian took a 28-10 lead into the fourth after Earle ran it in from the 9 as time expired to end the third quarter. Early in the fourth, Gabalis threw a 25-yard touchdown to Jackson to reduce the lead to 28-18 after the two-point conversion. Brad Larson's 34-yard field goal reduced the deficit to 28-21, and Tarleton State tied it when Daniel Greek ran it in from the 1 with 56 seconds left at the end of an eight-play, 72-yard drive that lasted just under two minutes.   WEEK 7 UNITED ATHLETIC CONFERENCE CO-OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Abilene Christian's Stone Earle, a two-time weekly honoree, was 21-of-32 passing for 241 yards and three touchdowns in helping ACU to its third win over a ranked team this season. He also netted a new career-high with 78 rushing yards on nine carries (8.7 YPC). During the game, the redshirt-senior quarterback reached several career milestones, surpassing 3,000 passing yards at ACU while topping 4,000 passing yards for his college career. On ACU's game-sealing drive (19-plays, 94-yards 10:29 TOP), Earle went 6-for-8 passing for 60 yards and added 13 yards rushing.   Stone Earle threw three touchdown passes for Abilene Christian to dispatch West Georgia 30-13 in a United Athletic Conference matchup on Saturday afternoon. West Georgia's early 6-3 lead in the second quarter evaporated within six minutes. Earle found JB Mitchell for an 8-yard touchdown, and Jordon Vaughn ran in a 3-yard score after a West Georgia three-and-out to make it 17-6 at the half.

Earle was 21 of 32 passing for 241 yards, finding Chidubem Lebechi and JJ Henry for his second-half touchdowns. He led the Wildcats with 82 rushing yards on 21 attempts. Abilene Christian (6-1, 3-1 UAC) - ranked No. 19 in the FCS coaches poll - converted 10 of its 14 third downs before kneeling on the final drive. The Wildcats entered with a .482 third-down conversion percentage, 11th in FCS football. The defending conference champion Wildcats have now won eight of their last nine games in the UAC after losing to Incarnate Word 38-7 on September 27.   Stone Earle threw four touchdown passes and ran for two more as Abilene Christian beat Austin Peay 45-31 on Saturday. Abilene Christian built a 24-3 halftime lead, striking first in the opening quarter and stacking 17 more in the second. Austin Peay closed within 31-24 in a fourth-quarter surge, but Earle answered with two late scores to keep the Wildcats in front. Earle went 30 of 42 for 339 yards with four touchdowns and one interception and added 46 rushing yards with scoring runs of 35 and four.

</p>Raydrian Baltrip caught six passes for 112 yards and two touchdowns, Dallas Dudley had 12 receptions for 92 yards and a score, and Jed Castles added a 24-yard touchdown. Abilene Christian finished 4 of 5 in the red zone and held the ball for 38:01. Chris Parson kept the Governors competitive with 330 yards passing and two touchdowns on 24 of 39 plus two short rushing scores. Jackson Head made seven catches for 132 yards and a touchdown and Jaden Robinson added seven for 114 and a score.   Stone Earle threw for 239 yards and ran for a touchdown and Abilene Christian rallied from an early deficit to beat Stephen F. Austin 28-20 on Saturday. Earle's 1-yard run brought the Wildcats (1-1) within 14-7 just under the midway point of the second quarter. On Stephen F. Austin's following drive, Kortlin Rausaw sacked Lumberjacks quarterback Sam Vidlak for a loss of 10 yards and forced a fumble which ACU's Kaghen Roach covered in the end zone for the game-tying score. Jordon Vaughn ended the half and started the third with a pair of 1-yard runs to extend the ACU lead to 28-14.

Jordan Nabors put the Lumberjacks (0-2) up 7-0 in the first with a 7-yard touchdown run. With 1:43 left in the first, Gavin Rutherford threw a 3-yard touchdown to Blaine Green for a two-touchdown lead. Vidlak threw for 245 yards. With the win, ACU closed the all-time series matchup between the two programs to 14-13.   Stone Earle passed for three touchdowns and Peyton Mansell ran for 107 yards and a score as Abilene Christian routed Lamar 56-0 on Saturday night. Tyrese White added 82 yards rushing for the Wildcats (3-1, 1-0 Atlantic Sun-WAC Challenge). The defense held Lamar to 136 total yards and scored two touchdowns as Ryan Stapp returned an interception 25 yards for a TD and Koy Richardson returned a fumble 25-yards for a touchdown. Earle's touchdowns - 13 yards to Jordan Brooks-Wess, 11 yards to Darius Lewis and 9 yards to Kobe Clark - were the first three scores of the game. Earle completed 13 of 18 passes for 185 yards.   Tyrese White ran for 103 yards and Abilene Christian piled up 27 points in the second quarter to defeat Division II-member UT Permian Basin 34-9 on Saturday night. White was one of four players to share the Wildcats' four touchdowns. His 40-yard TD run got things started in the second quarter, then Stone Earle hit Kobe Clark with a 16-yard pass and Jordan Paup returned an interception for a score and a 27-6 halftime lead.   Stone Earle threw a career-high six touchdown passes, including two to Kobe Clark, and Abilene Christian beat Division III Louisiana College 62-7 on Saturday night. Earle was 18-of-19 passing for 233 yards and Clark finished with four receptions for 65 yards. Darius Lewis had 131 yards receiving and a score and Anthony Smith had 10 carries for 64 yards, including a 7-yard touchdown run that made it 34-0 early in the second quarter.

Louisiana College went three-and-out on each of its first three drives and failed to convert on fourth downs on each of its next two possessions while ACU (2-0) scored touchdowns on six consecutives drives to open the game. Quae Walton had a 16-yard touchdown reception to make it 14-0 midway through the first quarter and his 1-yard TD run capped the scoring with 1:31 to play.
