Despite missing the last two games due to a foot injury suffered back on Nov. 12, Texas Tech's Tyree Wilson made enough of an impact on the field to be recognized nationally. On Monday, the 6-foot-6, 275-pound edge rusher was named a second team All American by the Associated Press. To go along with that good news, the Red Raiders also learned defensive back Malik Dunlap would return for his final season of eligibility - through a COVID-bonus year. "Let's run it back one more year," Dunlap wrote in a Tweeted on Monday afternoon, which included the "Not Leaving" clip from the "Wolf of Wall Street." Dunlap, a 6-3, 218-pound senior from Charlotte (N.C.) Harding University, was ranked second in the Big 12 with 11 pass breakups. He also had 29 tackles and an interception. - Lubbock Avalanche Journal

Redshirt junior tight end Jalin Conyers is returning to play football at Arizona State for the 2023 season, he announced on Thursday. Arizona Sports' John Gambadoro was the first to report the move. The news comes as a relief to Sun Devil fans, as Wednesday saw a rather ominous quote tweet from new head coach Kenny Dillingham regarding Conyers' announcement. Looks like Dillingham was in on it the whole time. Conyers' return may register as a given, but with the current modern landscape of the transfer portal in college football that might be even busier for a team with a new head coach, it's an important commitment.

That's because Conyers was not only one of ASU's best pass catchers along with wide receiver Elijhah Badger in 2022, but the tight end wasn't utilized until the latter part of the year in which Shaun Aguano was calling plays with Trenton Bourguet under center. The same could be said for Badger as well. This past season, the 6-foot-4, 265-pound Conyers reeled in 38 catches for 422 yards and five touchdowns, with six receptions, 108 yards and three scores coming in the 42-34 win over Colorado. - Arizona Sports

NOV 28 BIG 12 SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Trey Wolff, TTU, PK, Sr.,...Wolff connected on his second game-winning kick of the season as he found the uprights from 35 yards out in overtime to send Texas Tech to a 51-48 victory over Oklahoma. The freshman was a perfect 3-for-3 on field goal attempts in the win as he also drilled a 29-yard attempt going into halftime and then a 43-yard try with three seconds remaining in regulation to send the game into overtime. He has connected on 11-consecutive field goals entering bowl season as the Red Raiders secured their fifth Big 12 win, their most in a season since 2009.

Wolff, who hit the game-winning kick earlier this season against Texas, is now 18-for-21 on field goal attempts this season, which ranks third in the Big 12 for total field goals made and fourth via percentage (85.7). In addition to his accuracy with field goals, Wolff was instrumental in placing OU in negative field position via kickoffs with a pair of sky kicks that were muffed by the Sooners inside their own 15-yard line. The victory over Oklahoma marked the first time Texas Tech has defeated both OU and Texas in the same season, both of which were due to Wolff's game-winning kicks. - Big 12 Football

NOV 14 BIG 12 CO-SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Trey Wolff, TTU, PK, Sr.,...Wolff was a perfect 3-for-3 on field goal attempts to help Texas Tech to a 43-28 victory over Kansas. The senior found the uprights from 33, 51 and 30 yards in the win, marking the fifth time in his career he has successfully connected on three field goals in a game. Wolff's 51-yarder came as time expired to close the first half, giving the Red Raiders a 27-21 lead at the break. It matched the longest field goal of his career as he connected from the same distance in a similar situation at Kansas State earlier this year. Wolff is 15-of-18 on field goal attempts and a perfect 32-of-32 on PATs this season. He is the only Big 12 kicker to successfully make multiple field goals this season of 51 yards or longer. Wolff is tied for 10th all-time on the Texas Tech single-season chart for field goals, while his 36 career field goals moved him into eighth place in program history. - Big 12 Football

OCT 24 BIG 12 NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK: Texas Tech's Behren Morton threw for 325 yards and two touchdowns in his second career start to lead Texas Tech to a 48-10 win over West Virginia. It was the second-consecutive 300-yard performance for Morton, who became just the second Red Raider all-time to throw for 300 yards against Big 12 foes in his first two career starts. Morton, who woke up ill Saturday morning before the game, also rushed for 17 yards in the win, helping the Red Raiders convert 6-of-7 fourth down attempts in the process. Morton was responsible for five of those conversions on his own with four passing completions and one rushing. He is one of only two FBS freshmen to throw for at least 300 yards in multiple games this year as he has totaled 704 yards through the air over the last two games. Behind Morton, the Red Raiders secured their largest margin of victory all-time in the series with West Virginia. It was also TTU's largest win over a Big 12 foe since defeating Kansas, 65-19, on October 7, 2017. - Big 12 Football
