2019 ALL-MOUNTAIN WEST FIRST TEAM (COACHES): QB - Josh Love, Sr., San Jose State,...Love completed 60.9 percent of his passes with only eight interceptions for 3,923 yards and 22 touchdowns as San Jose State recorded a 5-7 win-loss record, four more wins than in 2018. All of Love's season totals were personal bests for the one-time walk-on from Long Beach (Calif.) Poly High. He became only the third quarterback in conference history to throw for 400 or more yards five games in a season. His six career 400-yard passing games ranks second on the all-time Mountain West list behind Oakland Raiders and Fresno State quarterback Derek Carr, who had 11 in two seasons.

Love's 3,923 passing yards is #6 on the Mountain West's single-season list and ranks third nationally this season in games played through November 30. He also is sixth nationally in total offense at 319.6 yards per game. The numbers complement a year in which the co-captain led the Spartans to game-winning touchdown drives with less than 3:00 remaining in the fourth quarter of 75 yards at Arkansas for San Jose State's first win in school history against a Southeastern Conference (SEC) opponent and 83 yards vs. Fresno State to conclude the season. - San Jose State Football

Packer had 93 yards rushing and added four receptions for 35 yards. Josh Love was 23-of-34 passing for 290 yards and Tre Walker had 132 yards receiving on eight receptions for San Jose State (5-7, 2-6 Mountain West Conference). Trailing 16-10 and facing third-and-9 from their own 33 with 2:47 left in the game, the Spartans offense came to life. Love hit Tre Walker for a 29-yard gain before Packer ripped off back-to-back runs of 28 and 10 yards to give San Jose State its first lead of the game with 2:11 remaining. The Bulldogs (4-8, 2-6) scored on their first two drives to take a 14-0 lead after a 5-yard touchdown run by Ronnie Rivers with 5:08 left in the first quarter and Justin Rice sacked SJSU's Josh Love in the end zone to make it 16-3 with 5:27 left in the first half.   The Nevada Wolf Pack didn't flinch against No. 24 San Diego State and came away with an impressive victory. Wide receiver Elijah Cooks threw a 50-yard pass on a trick play to set up Devonte Lee's go-ahead, 1-yard run with 10:31 to go and the Wolf Pack beat the Aztecs 17-13 Saturday night. The Wolf Pack surprised the Aztecs' tough defense with a reverse, with running back Toa Taua flipping the ball to Cooks, who stopped and threw a strike to Brendan O'Leary-Orange at the SDSU 5. Three plays later, Lee burst into the end zone for a 17-10 lead.

Inconsistent this season, the Wolf Pack (6-4, 3-3 Mountain West) became bowl eligible and defeated the Aztecs for the second straight season. SDSU (7-2, 4-2) struggled in its first action since jumping into The Associated Press Top 25 two weeks ago. The Aztecs, whose four-game winning streak was snapped, still lead the West Division. "It's hard to catch this team. It's hard to get them out of position," Nevada coach Jay Norvell said. "It's hard to get behind them and so we just felt like we needed to make a play like that along the way to help get behind them. Fortunately we did." Cooks said he was nervous when the play call came in, "but I told O.J., `Slow down and just go and I'm going to hit you.' He did that and it worked out perfectly. "I played quarterback growing up. My whole goal coming up when I was a little kid was I wanted to throw at least one pass in college and I did that," Cooks added. "I'm really hyped about that. That was fun." - Nevada/AP College Football

Chevan Cordeiro accounted for five touchdowns, including two in the fourth quarter, and Hawaii held on for a 42-40 win over San Jose State on Saturday night. Cordeiro was 23-of-31 passing for 309 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions and added 11 carries for 55 yards and two scores. Miles Reed had 124 yards rushing and a TD on 17 carries and JoJo Ward finished with seven receptions for 170 yards and two touchdowns for Hawaii (6-4, 3-3 Mountain West). San Jose State's 16-play, 67-yard drive stalled and the Spartans (4-6, 1-5) settled for a 28-yard field goal by Matt Mercurio that trimmed their deficit to 28-26 going into the fourth quarter.

Cordeiro hit Jared Smart for a 5-yard touchdown to give Hawaii a nine-point lead with 12 minutes to go and, after Josh Love connected with Bailey Gaither for a 40-yard TD about 2 1/2 minutes later, Cordeiro's 2-yard scoring run capped a 12-play, 85-yard drive to make it 42-33 with 4:23 remaining. Love hit Isaiah Ward for a 19-yard touchdown to bring San Jose State within two with 1:51 to go but Cordeiro's 4-yard run on third-and-2 allowed the Rainbow Warriors to bleed the clock. Love passed for 375 yards and two TDs, DeJon Packer had 20 carries for 112 yards and two scores and Tre Walker had 10 receptions for 138 yards for San Jose State. - Hawaii/AP College Football
