Whitaker, whose 20.0 tackles for loss are the most by a Black Bear in over 20 years, ends his career with an impressive 45.5 tackles for loss, 27.0 sacks and 183 total tackles. In 2019, Whitaker tallied a trio of multi-sack performances and ended the season with a five-game, multiple tackle for loss streak, registered a total of 14.5 tackles for loss over his last five games. - Maine Football

Before suffering a season-ending injury at UAlbany, Patterson had started 44 games in his career while registering 54 pass breakups, three interceptions and 113 total tackles. Lowe led the Black Bears with a career-high 98 total tackles to go along with 9.5 tackles for loss and a half sack. Blair, who ranked fourth in the CAA with 5.9 receptions per game, checked in eight best among CAA leaders at 76.3 yards per game while his 839 total yards placed him tenth best on the conference leaderboard. The sophomore set two new school records and tied a third this season. Williams' 56-yard field goal at Northern Colorado broke the PSU record of 55 yards set in 1975 by Pat Moore. His five field goals at Northern Arizona tied for the most made in a game. He tied his own CAA record by returning two kickoffs for touchdowns against Colgate on Sept. 21 and his six career TD's on kick returns are a school record. Edwards, who also received first-team All-CAA accolades at wide receiver, ranked third in FCS in all-purpose yardage (169.4 ypg) and scored a touchdown in 18 of his final 19 games. The senior averaged 25.0 yards on four kick returns and had a 28-yard punt return that set up a Black Bears' TD in the third quarter. It was part of a tremendous all-around effort for Edwards, who finished with 259 all-purpose yards, caught a game-winning TD pass with 34 seconds left and recorded a tackle on a Hail Mary pass to end the game. - Colonial Athletic Association Football

  Earnest Edwards returned two kickoffs for touchdowns for the second time in his career to lead Maine to a 35-21 win over Colgate on Saturday. Edwards added to his career record with his fifth kickoff return for a touchdown, a 100-yarder right up the middle of the field, to start the second half. Edwards, who hauled in a 40-yard touchdown bomb from Chris Ferguson in the final minute of the first half for a 21-7 lead, went 95 yards down the left sideline for his second kickoff return with 4:52 left in the third quarter. With 198 kickoff-return yards he broke his school record of 188 from last season against Elon.

Joe Fitzpatrick contributed 102 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries for the Black Bears (2-2). Maine's defense limited Colgate to 103 yards in the first half, and 185 through three quarters before two long drives by the Raiders in the fourth quarter. The Black Bears had eight sacks, their most since getting nine in a 2012 game. Colgate (0-4), favored to win a third straight Patriot League title, is now 0-3 against the Colonial Athletic Association after going 3-0 against the CAA last year, counting the playoffs. Edwards has scored in 10 of his last 11 games. - AP College Football
