  WEEK 13 OVC-BIG SOUTH CO-FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK: Carter Johnson, DB, 6-4, 215, Fr., Waukee, Iowa, Lindenwood,...Johnson tallied four tackles (3 solo), an interception and pass breakup as Lindenwood topped Southeast Missouri 30-13 to keep possession of the “Game Ball Brawl” Trophy for the second-straight year. His interception came at the Lions 35-yard line in the second quarter and helped preserve a 10-0 halftime advantage. The defensive back helped the Lindenwood defense limit SEMO to just 176 yards of total offense on the day. The Lions finished the season with a 5-3 record in OVC-Big South competition, its first winning League mark since moving to the Division I level.   Nate Glantz scored two touchdowns on the ground, Jared Rhodes and Steve Hall each added one more, and Lindenwood took down Southeast Missouri State 30-13 in the season finale for both teams on Saturday. The Lions (6-6, 5-3 OVC-Big South) took the Game Ball Brawl trophy for the second consecutive season, and the series is tied 2-2 since 2022. Glantz's first rushing score came at the 6:38 mark of the opening frame, a 1-yarder, and he added another in the third quarter.

After the Redhawks (4-8, 3-5) struck back with an 11-yard reception by Kalvin Gilbert to make it a 10-point contest, Hall scored on a 7-yard rush early in the fourth quarter to extend Lindenwood's lead again. Rhodes' 12-yard rush put the game on ice late in the fourth. He had 87 rushing yards on 16 carries, while Hall had 57 yards on 13 touches.   Nate Glantz threw for 280 yards and two touchdowns and Jared Rhodes ran for two touchdowns and Lindenwood beat Eastern Illinois 42-12 on Saturday in a game it never trailed. Lindenwood (5-6, 4-3 Ohio Valley-Big South Football Association) distanced itself from the Panthers (3-8, 2-6) scoring three touchdowns in the fourth quarter. Connor Wolf threw a 16-yard touchdown to DeAirious Smith to bring Eastern Illinois within 21-12 with 19 seconds left in the third. To start the fourth, Glantz threw a 29-yard touchdown to Jalen Smith. A minute-and-a-half later, Steve Hall ran it in from the 5, and 2 1/2 minutes later, Glantz threw a 44-yard touchdown to Drew Krobath. Smith caught four passes for 101 yards and a touchdown.   Jared Rhodes and Steve Hall combined for more than 200 yards rushing and four touchdowns to lead Lindenwood to a 35-13 victory over Tennessee State on Saturday. Rhodes had 15 carries for 113 yards and touchdown runs of 32 and 1 yard. Hall ran 19 times for 100 yards and scored from the 1 and 9. Nate Glantz completed 16 of 23 passes for 149 yards with an interception Lindenwood (4-5, 3-2 OVC-Big South). Glantz's 3-yard touchdown run capped a 14-play, 75-yard drive early in the second quarter. Byron McNair tossed a 70-yard touchdown pass to Devaughn Slaughter for Tennessee State (2-7, 0-5) on the game's second play from scrimmage. McNair was 11-of-20 passing for 132 yards.   Nate Glantz threw two touchdown passes and ran for a score as Lindenwood held off Stony Brook 30-27 on Saturday night after building a 24-point halftime lead. Glantz threw a 30-yard touchdown pass to Rico Bond to open the scoring and the pair connected again for a 34-yard score with 1:24 left before halftime for a 27-3 lead. Glantz and Steve Hall had short touchdown runs in the first seven minutes of the second quarter. Chris Zellous threw a 65-yard scoring strike to Jayce Freeman midway through the third, and Roland Dempster scored on a 5-yard run with 3:30 left. The Seawolves added a pair of two-point conversions to cut it to 27-19 heading to the fourth.

Will Graham kicked a 31-yard field goal at the end of a 10-play, 83-yard drive to put the Lions up 30-19 with 6:59 remaining. Zellous finished a 10-play drive with a 10-yard touchdown toss to Freeman. Stony Brook converted a third straight two-point try to get within three points with 4:23 left but never got the ball back. Glantz completed 20 of 29 passes for 249 yards and led the Lions with 104 rushing yards on 13 carries. Bond finished with eight receptions for 119 yards. Zellous totaled 317 yards on 27-for-41 passing. Freeman had nine catches for 178 yards and Dempster rushed for 88 yards on 17 carries. - AP College Football

  Nate Glantz accounted for four touchdowns on Saturday to help Lindenwood overcome a 21-point deficit and beat Charleston Southern 35-28 in the OVC/Big South opener for both teams handing the Buccaneers their 13th consecutive loss. Charleston Southern (0-3) is winless since a 24-20 victory at Furman on Sept. 7, 2024. Glantz was 20-of-34 passing for 246 yards and threw a 12-yard TD pass to Rico Bond that gave the Lions their first lead at 28-21 with 4:32 remaining. Hakeem Watters fumbled on the ensuing kickoff and Andrew Baumgart recovered for Lindenwood at the 36 and Jared Rhodes ran for a 1-yard TD to make it a 14-point game with 1:57 left.

Glantz ran for TDs of 8, 10 and 7 yards, the last of which tied it at 21-all with 12:23 left in the game. The Buccaneers answered with a nine-play, 66-yard drive to the Lindenwood 11 before Zach Gordon missed a 28-yard field-goal attempt wide left. Rashawn Cunningham made a one-hand TD catch for Charleston Southern (0-3) to cap the scoring. Ke'Marion Baldwin added 81 yards rushing, which included a 39-yard touchdown late in the first quarter.
