  Kente Edwards ran for 265 yards that included a 70-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to help Lafayette pull away and beat Richmond 35-28 on Saturday. Edwards burst up the middle and then ran untouched along the right sideline to cap the scoring with 6:09 to play. Edwards also had a 61-yard touchdown run late in the third quarter and finished with 26 carries.

Dean DeNobile was 14-of-25 passing and threw three touchdown passes and an interception for Lafayette (8-3, 6-0 Patriot League). Carson Persing caught six passes for 93 yards and a touchdown for the FCS 25th-ranked Leopards. Nick Bierman had two touchdown catches and finished with 52 yards receiving. Kyle Wickersham accounted for three touchdowns for Richmond (6-4, 3-3). He completed 20 of 35 passes for 234 yards, threw two touchdown passes and an interception and had short-yardage touchdown run.   Kente Edwards ran for a career-high 260 yards, Dean DeNobile threw four touchdown passes, and Lafayette defeated Colgate 59-42 on Saturday to remain undefeated in the Patriot League. Edwards, a junior who had only 110 yards in his first two seasons, topped his previous high of 255 yards against Georgetown in September. He has 1,032 yards with two regular season games remaining. Lafayette (7-3, 5-0) scored 24 points in the second quarter after being tied at 14 early in the period. The Leopards led 38-21 at halftime after DeNobile threw two TD passes and Edwards ran for another touchdown in the second quarter.

The Raiders got within 38-28 in the third quarter but DeNobile hit Mason Kuehner with a 19-yard touchdown pass to close out the period and Edwards' 49-yard touchdown run made it 52-28 early in the fourth. DeNobile was 18-for-29 passing for 206 yards and backup QB Daniel Lipovski threw a 26-yard touchdown pass for a team total of 232 passing yards. The Leopards totaled 301 yards rushing and outgained Colgate 533-436. Jake Stearney threw three touchdown passes and Jackson Kilburg, who completed 9 of 10 passes, had two TD throws for Colgate. Matt Fogler caught three touchdown passes. Lafayette and Lehigh are tied for first place in the Patriot League. Lafayette hosts Lehigh in two weeks. - AP College Football

  Kente Edwards scored two rushing touchdowns and led a 217-yard rushing performance from the Lafayette offense in a 21-13 win over Holy Cross on Saturday. Edwards opened and closed the scoring on a day he had 146 rushing yards on 28 carries. He scored for the Leopards (6-4, 4-0 Patriot League) at the end of the first quarter with a a 10-yard rush, then added his second with 2:49 remaining in the fourth quarter. Holy Cross (1-8, 1-3) took a 13-7 lead in the third quarter when Max Mosey returned a punt 59 yards for a touchdown. Ethan Weber retook the lead for the Leopards with a 1-yard score late in the third quarter. He played an effective backup role with 67 rushing yards. Jayden Clerveaux led the Crusaders' offense with 135 yards on the ground. Dominic Campanile was 17-of-22 passing for 127 yards with an interception. - Lafayette/AP College Football

  Dean DeNobile threw for 316 yards and five touchdowns and Lafayette was nearly unstoppable in a 62-24 win over Bucknell on Saturday. Nine of Lafayette's 15 drives ended with a touchdown and at one stretch the Leopards (5-2, 3-0 Patriot League) scored six consecutive touchdowns. Lafayette killed the clock on downs to end the game. DeNobile's five touchdown performance puts him in a tie with four other Lafayette quarterbacks (Drew Reed, 2013; Tom Kirchoff, 1991; Frank Baur, 1987; and Paul Stuncius, 1986). The single game record belongs to Rob Curley who threw seven touchdowns against Colgate in 2009.

DeNobile threw touchdown passes of 20 yards to Jakrye Henley, 34 and 10 yards to Elijah Steward, 19 yards to Ethan Hosek and 4 yards to Matthew Scerbo. Ethan Weber ran for 139 yards on 11 carries and reached the end zone with runs of 32 and 67 yards. Steward amassed 116 yards on six catches to go with his two touchdowns.
